December 13, 200718 yr I recently came into this mindset for some reason that I was just a fool for buying dragon legs and a med helm. I thought since I have 46 prayer, and plenty of prayer pots I could just use them when fighting monters. I would be fine with monk robes. I know thier are opposing arguements to this, and I would really like to hear them so I can stop feeling like i just wasted a mill. Thanks. http://www.halopen.comhttp://www.paintballforum.comhttp://www.xpaintball.com
December 13, 200718 yr Although I agree you wated your money, it is worth getting good armour. How long would prayer last? 3 minutes? Less than that with your current level and prayer potions is too expensive. My regular Skeleton training runs last for a few hours, maybe 3-4... only to bank to get more super attack pots. D skirt is just as good as legs and about 900k cheaper to boot.. Yeah I know "But skirts are for girls!!" blah blah.. I would rather buy a 175k skirt and spend the extra near 900k on something else than buy d legs and be piss poor. As for prayer... you have to remember for some things praying can be a waste of money. Why waste prayer pots on infernal mages when you can have high defence and wear dragon hide. Also without defence your chances of going monster hunting for that new rare drop are pretty boned. Unless you are a pure I would say get your defence up and seeing as how there is no point to pure accts anymore, get your def UP. Apparently, my signature was to big.
December 13, 200718 yr If you want to combine prayer and a degree of armouring for when prayer runs out or needs to be saved, then the "prayer armours" (Initiate / Proselyte) may be worth a look. A similar case occurs with prayer books - if you pray for protection, then the attack bonus Zamorak book is better than the balanced Guthix or defensive Saradomin.
December 13, 200718 yr Because some weapons can hit clean through prayer, take the anchor for example. There's no protection from it. Plus you can't use prayer during some quest boss battles like dream mentor  Check out the band on Facebook! - http://www.facebook.com/bhofficialnjYouTube - http://www.youtube.c...enhingeofficial
December 13, 200718 yr Well, first off prayer pots can be a bit costly. The extra defence is nice because you will have your prayer in a time you may need it. Also, your inventory slots might be better used for other items, which means you would either have to take less ppots or miss out on those items. December 13, 200718 yr In the long run using good (expensive armour) + food is cheaper than using prayer pots and praying all the way. December 13, 200718 yr Well just ask yourself this, how many people do you see fighting monsters (take Fire Giants for example) with protect always on? It's too expensive and you could just use food and good armor. Even the most wealthy players don't pray all the time. Of course there are situations where you want to pray, but in general training you don't use protect (maybe DH'ing).
December 13, 200718 yr Prayer runs out eventually, how ever many prayer pots you have. Also, prayer does not protect you from 100% of PvP damage. RSLinkss! A new RuneScape forum! PM me for details.
