Logical solutions to the illogical updates ( please read )

The ranting and raving is slowly dying out and i am glad to see it

 

those who have quit are quite childish and foolish

 

 

 

yes the updates are a bit strict

 

 

 

however if i could have your ear for a moment perhaps the few of us mature and logical players could band together to convince jagex that these updates are a bit of an over kill .

 

 

 

My solution would work .. keep current updates in play and keep dying markets in play whilst still keeping rwt in a stale mate

 

 

 

drop limit apon death or dropping an item -

 

 

 

If this limit was raised to 50k every 20 minutes ( from 3k every 15 ) it would allow private parties to resume of course in smaller number .. and allow the former pkers to make a profit of sorts in the wilderness

 

 

 

con : rc pking would resume

 

 

 

solution : simply put several revenants whom only attack someone armed with a weapon ( the coding for that is possible )

 

 

 

con : people would resume rwt coin drop kills for profit

 

 

 

solution : simply put a castle wars like limiter on the wilderness ditch allowing you to only bring combat items

 

 

 

food

 

armor

 

pots

 

weaps

problem 2 : the death of player to player merching due to the trade limit

 

 

 

simple solution : raise the profit margin of unfair trades to 50k much like the latter drop limit .. once every 20 mins

 

 

 

problem : rwt would use this to resume activity

 

 

 

solution : it would still take the better part of 2 days per million .. simply not worth the hassle

 

 

 

problem : scammers and beggers

 

 

 

solution : this new limit would only be available to those whom have offered something in return for your trade ( its doable with the new item removed detection software )

These simple changes would make this new system work alot better and still keep rwt at bay

 

 

 

in turn it would also keep alive some pastimes that may be effected

 

 

 

rc companies = revived

 

team monster killing = revived

 

friendly pking and dms = revived

 

private parties = revived

my final solution to an epic issue is bounty hunter

 

 

 

the multi in this needs and i mean needs to be taken out

 

 

 

getting team jumped over a iron kite and a few arrows spoke to me that this update was just too much

 

 

 

ive also come up with a logical solution to it not being safe

 

 

 

ive come up with a system that would make it what i like to call .. semi safe

 

 

 

with grand rewards for those whom play by the rules and even rewards for solo rouges

 

 

 

white ticket ( stackable ) - your given 1 apon entry and get one as a reward for killing your bounty whom only loses the ticket and no other item

 

 

 

black ticket ( stackable ) - your white ticket becomes tainted if you go rouge as do any tickets you pick up from rouge kills

 

 

 

( ticket shop ) ( new npc at the gates )

armors

 

 

 

Rune full helm - 25 tickets

 

rune platemail - 50 tickets

 

rune kiteshield - 35 tickets

 

rune legs or skirt - 35 tickets

 

dragon medium - 100 tickets

Runite battle axe - 30 tickets

 

runite warhammer - 30 tickets

It's too easy to convert those items into gp, so I'm not sure this particular solution would be effective. Also, remember people need other items for treasure trails, training skills, etc.

sorry to double post but this to me is a worthwhile read and solution

 

 

 

I would comment on your solutions, but the unnecessary insult in the second line kind of put me off.

 

 

 

You may or may not have some valid points, however Jagex have made it glaringly clear that the only language they understand is that of finance.

 

 

 

The only way to really force them to make a change is to challenge the stability of their income. You saw the drastic changes they implemented when RWTers challenged that stability, right?

 

 

 

Basically, quit. Stop paying them

 

 

 

A complaining $5 is still $5. If enough people denied them their $5 over this issue, they WOULD find a solution that the majority would be comfortable with.

I don't think that's necessary. Jagex already pointed out that they would accepts ideas to help build off their current one. They've already said they're not going to revert back to the old idea and in order to make this work, I think that they will have to basically revert back.

 

 

 

Being able to drop 50k every 20 minutes would be quite a lot. It would mean 150k every hour and that's just about how much an average yew cutter can make, meaning that the autoers would be back and drop trading everything.

 

 

 

Bringing only combat items into the wildy wouldn't work too well either. A player could simply just go in wearing 3rd age or something ridiculous like that and get killed purposefully.

 

Also, that would mean rc pkers wouldn't be able to bring their runes :oops:

 

 

 

I disagree with the ticket idea. People could simply make new accounts and kill themselves over and over again in order to gain more tickets to buy more expensive outfits.

 

 

 

However those are some good ideas and if fixed a little, they could be worthy of consideration.

that person would have to be godly lucky .. i explained attacking random players would earn tainted tickets that would earn powerful untradables

But, I do commend you very much on trying to come up with a solution while still keeping RWT in tact. (You attempted, at least)

Yeah, but the most of the players quitting has worked a lot on training for example a wilderness pure. After these updates everything they have worked for is gone, so I can understand that some of them are quitting.
