Guest
Hey people of tip.it Today i was fishing and i was wondering why I was not able to release the fish I caught back into the river. In real life there are not many fisherman that really take back home the fish they caught and then cook (or burn) it. Since I already got 99 cook, and I don't need more xp on it, I thought it would be nice if runescape had somewhat more "animal friendlier" updates. Like shoo-ing away a dog can bring the idea upon little children that it's ok to behave that way irl as well to stray dogs. Whilst in my opinion you should take care of all animals even if their feith is to be used for meat later on. Anyways it would be a nice update since when you release the fishies back into the wild yur whole inventory would be cleared of fish, so you can fish more soon again thus gaining more xp Mauranius
Earth_Poet
some people actually look at catching and releasing as more inhumane to fish then catching them for food. catching and releasing is "hurting" the fish for pure sport and would not be necessary. i would want my children to "shoo-away" any stray animals. in fact...i wouldn't want my children near stray dogs. you haven't seen "Cujo" have you? anyways...they've taken out most ways to kill each other for sport, why not animals? tha_boas
catch a fish, drop it on the floor ... a minute or two later it'll jump back in the water ;) so no worries

Nabbagad
You do know it's a game? If you think shooing away a dog is bad why arn't you ranting about killing animals and monsters within the game? RoswellCrash
Note the fish. Then they'll stay fresh and alive in banks. RuneScape's answer to tupawear. I think we are saving the fish by taking them out they reproduce so fast if we didn't fish them they would have no room to move so really we are kind. - Twitter | RuneScape FB Group | My PC
Guest
well if we would not fish on them, they would grow faster, and bigger fish eat other fishies you know --> problem solved ;)
FooK-A-Ji
well if we would not fish on them, they would grow faster, and bigger fish eat other fishies you know --> problem solved ;) You could find me in the game and give me all your raws, every time, I promise I'll cook them and serve them to needy children in RS, seeing as you believe RS is a copy of life. That way the torturing of the fish will be for a good cause, right?
Randox
I think he meant the poor fish thing as a joke you know. What he really want is a 'drop all (fish)" feature and the whole poor fishy thing would just be an excuse for the feture to be implamented. Wouldn't be surprised. :) If people think clicking is the hardest thing in the world, no wonder we get the "my little brother gave all my stuff away :-". or "i got hacked", upon downloading an infected autoclicker. Fredz
This could add a new dimension to RS. Maybe even get a little XP doing it (Use raw fish on water). Or something much better, by using the fish on water you would get Guthix blessing and gain prayer points. This could give a new dimension to combat zones close to fishing spots. : 21 lag piles, 4 Pjs, 2 Party hat kills, 67 newbs teached.

It's like killing a little piece of the sunshine... :cry:Not really... Unicorns are just horses with a horn growing out of their forehead. And horse meat is REALLY tasty... Provided that it has been properly marinated and tenderised, of course. If the CORPORAL beast is this hard, imagine how hard a GENERAL or COLONEL beast would be. a corporal is not even an admirable rank in armies that use that ranking system. Yeah, it is a pking minigame, so any arguments anybody makes will probably be biased. The best way this will end :Everybody just says,"I'm not arguing with you anymore, goodbye."The worst way this will end: I don't really know, psychological warfare? Worldwide thermonuclear war? Pie eating contest?
JFonseka
Good point by the OP. Games have a profound effect, denying it would be just flagging your ignorance to everyone. It's not a far cry to say some people will get influenced by somethings in RS to imitate in real life. Especially the younger people, 12 and under. 2432nd to 99 mining
Carl
Lol good idea it is extreemely boring (and annoying) doing: click, click ,click.. (another 24 times if you have 27 spots) just to drop some fish. but if Jagex actually made this update because they thought it influenced people to put the fishies back I would ROFL so much. Drop X amount of fish :D RIP Michaelangelopolous
