Will summoning be F2p or P2p. If it is a p2p do u think they should put a p2p skill into f2p??

yes but most people are f2p and going to stay f2p untill either christmas or are not goin switch... If they dont add new f2p skills than less players will like it and become p2p.

since rs2 was launched, the only new skills that came out were p2p.

F2p just got a load of updates, we're not gettiung anymore. Do I wish we got it? Yes, but it's not going to happen.

Because P2P offers so much more and chances are, it would please you more than F2P.

p2p, definitely, f2p barely gets any updates, and the ones we get are to repair the whole game.

F2P has been given extra content. Your opinion on this content is irrelevant. I therefore agree with what has been said above. F2P just got a load of new stuff to do, so it's very unlikely that Jagex will release Summoning for F2P. Even without the updates, dedicating a whole skill to F2P is very doubtable.

good point... extra bank space and the dueling arena are humongous f2p updates! you guys should be happy...

Most likely pay-to-play as we, freeplayers, has been spoiled a bit by the updates given at the end of this year. Bounty Hunting, Clan Wars, Duel Arena, Grand Exchange, just to name a few. It is unlikely that Jagex will be giving us, free-to-play, an entire new skill, but who knows! :mrgreen:

He is referring to Jagex giving free players summoning, not just members.

I meant us as in free-to-play. :D

Well there's still a chance for F2P!

 

 

 

We all know there are many rumors about summoning out there, one of them is that since summons could possibly fight for you, you dont want a level 3 player with 99 summoning killing everyone. There are 2 possible ways to fix this :

 

 

 

Either limit the effectiveness of a summon by setting it's stats in accordance with those of his owner (Most likely in my opinion)

 

 

 

Or have the summoning skill be a part of the combat system and getting levels up just as range and magic do (Very unlikely, but that's F2P's only chance)

 

 

 

If they were to made it a part of the combat system they would HAVE to make at least a part of it F2P, so that F2P can have a complete combat system as they always did and so that a pure p2p summoner doesnt find himself completely unarmed when he unsuscribes.

 

 

 

 

 

So it's VERY UNLIKELY but there's still a little chance F2P gets some summoning :)

shouldn't this be in the discussion or debate forum? cause everyone is debating it and there noone knows what the answer is

Obviously it is more likely to be members (as all new skills have been for last few skill)

 

 

 

But to say with 100% confidence is pointless as we don't know until release. Instead of speculating, the best way to find your answer is to wait patiently.
