Hotchick
They're really simple, made on MS Paint. UPDATE 1: A couple things to point out: - I'm keeping my character style. This is my character style, and I like this style. So I won't be changing how I draw my characters. - This is my first try! :P - I'm sticking to MS Paint, don't suggest any new high level pixeling programs or anything, I won't use them! :P Thanks :) EDIT: Screw the other two ones, they suck. :P Will be working on this one, trying new shading, lines, stuff like that! Sorry I can't go right off the bat and create signatures that make people's jaws drop. Okay. From what I knew, I created a signature from paint that I did spend a lot of time on. I didn't spend 5-10 minutes, I spent hours easily on these. I posted because I know i'm new at this, and I know tif has a really nice community and i've been watching the art gallery recently and the nice CC people give eachother. I'm really dissapointed in the way you reacted to this... Like I said, i geuss i'm sorry i'm not an amazing "painter" for a lack of a better term. Anyway, does anyone have any CC that they could give me (politely, please) to help me out? Adventurer
There's not much depth to the pixels, especially #2. See how the sky is a very bright blue? It makes it look as though it's like some sky backdrop placed smack behind the character. You could try to make it a more subtle, faded blue like a real sky and make a horizon. Hugger_88
I really like them, but, for instance #1, you made the outline of the character darker, and personally I really like that, but make all the signature with a dark outline. And number 2, the coins... Start off like you have it, and add detail to them as you go. And number 3.. Try to shade the characters with dithering, if you dont like the effect dithering gives, just dont use it. Overall, I really like your style. Try looking at the master pixel artists around the forums and try their styles. I don't mean to offend but seeing as how you just completed your first pixel you don't have the experience required to say that you "know what you are doing". Art does not equal extreme detail. Take your sig, where you put a lot of effort into drawing each strand of hair. In time, you will realize that this effort is not always necessary to create an interesting piece of art. The best art is that which is original, fresh and well composed. Details are simply the icing on the cake, and often the cake is better with only a thin layer of icing, so to say! ;) Hotchick: wicked cool style you got going, I especially like the first. :) The character is perfect -- no amount of detail or body work could make him better. My suggestions would be to clean up the tree stump.. It seems out of place (too flat, lines are too thin). Also, a thick border outlining the sigs would be great. Your style is fresh and original and you've got a good sense of artistic composition. Keep it up, TIF needs more pixelers like you.
Nadril
The first one is interesting as far as style goes, but I don't like the other two because they are much too blocky. While you might not be able to call it a pixel its still somewhat interesting, certainly different. I would work on just basic techniques a bit more (dithering and such) while keeping the cartoony style you currently have.
misterxman
Nice character style. What I like the best about them is how expressive they are (guy holding hands up to celebrate), that's important when you can only draw one frame of a story. You should keep some consistency whether to do black outlines or not, as having half the sig in black outlines is a bit odd to see. Add a couple more shadows to your characters to make them less flat. Practice drawing characters first, then move to practicing backgrounds. Maybe add simple borders to them :P I'm sticking to MS Paint, don't suggest any new high level pixeling programs or anything, I won't use them! MSpaint is all you need. There is no such thing as "high level" pixeling program, just more shortcuts :) Pixel sigs by me.Pixel Art
Aussie_King
Woosh, it's a start. The first one is atleast shaded, it almost looks cartoonish, which imo looks really good, but on the pixel artist side, it's quite rubbish. BUT since it is your first/second/third, it is good. You've attempted to shade and that's a start, but keep trying to give the shading layers, and shade more of it. Perhaps try getting some detail into some of them, like make the background have more going on, and maybe on the second one, less clouds and make the colour darker, and definately shade it. Look up some tuts for some info on shading, detailing, dithering, technique and definately ANATOMY! You really have to work on that. But really, keep making them, you will improve and I'd like to see you improve. These are my tips: For number one: Read guides on anatomy, it's one of your main drawbacks and fails. Sorry to say, your shading really isn't that great. Try having layers or levels of shading, and try to make them smoothly blend. And have more detail in what's going on in the background. Try some more people, and maybe a fight in the background. But definately look at some anatomy guides. For number two: Wow. Indeed. I'm sorry to say everything is horrible. But alteast you've attmempted on the coins. Perhaps a darker coin colour, and don't make it look like it's just a 2D pile of yellow crap :P Perhaps make it look a bit more 3d. You've done a little better on the anatomy on the second one than you did on the first one, but her skirt makes her look fat. lol. And the clouds are disgusting, they look like mickey mouses on a blue background. Try a darker colour, and definately some shading on the sky and GET RID OF SOME OF THOSE CLOUDS and make them lighter, and transparent. Make them smooth and not big blotches of white on a picture. And the tree... If that's a magic tree, try making the bark a bit textured and shaded, and try to put more "magic" on the tree. BTW, magic trees have stars on them, so try changing the odd tadpole-looking shapes into stars. The ground is weird, perhaps get rid of the brown and make a farming patch around the tree, it would look good, and make the rest green. Also, make the ground look like it's not attached to the ground lol. Sorry i've rambled on too much about the second one, I'll go onto the third. For the third one. Like on the first one, try to detatch the sky from the ground, with some mountains or soemthing. The moon looks good, but maybe a tiny bit of detail on it would be nice. Fix the ancient staff, it's all wrong. The robes look lame and fat, try fixing them, again, antomy ain't so good. The pick needs to be curved around a bit more, and the d hide needs to be more than a one-peice black thing with white spots on it. The ground is ok, but try some mountains in the background and some shine on those stars and it might look good. Sorry if I've come off as a jerk in any of this and I hope to see you improve in the near future! Add me ingame: Lnterest. I am back.

Elemental
The first one is the best in my opinion. It is so cute, as it has been said already. I'd say stick to that style, adding any more details to that Dharok, for example, would completely ruin the cuteness. 9/10 for the first one (there's still room for improvement ;P) and er.. less for the other two (I don't really like the second one and the third is a slightly (or not-so-slightly) modified version of the 1st) I'd love to see more of your work =DD
Unoalexi
Hmm.. Your lines need work. A nice, even one-pixel black line would work better in this case.. Furthermore, if your going to outline things, make sure you outline everything to give your work a clean, uniform look. Don't just leave some things without a black outline(like the castle in the dharok picture). Also, you could work on your shading+dithering technique a little.. Also, you left a large lank box in the magic tree picture. Were you going to put text in it or something? You probably shouldn't copy and paste the clouds ether.. I'll give it a Six kittens out of ten. (These are my opinions. You can do whatever you want with your art, and I could care less. This is simply how you could make it look nicer..in my opinion) Honestly, I don't like the character style. It's like, I don't know, the Phillsbury dough boys.. -.- and you did use the paint bucket tool, didn't you?!
