Zeus_s_Soul
anyways, in the final summoning dev diary, jagex stated that there were puzzles in there that had clues about summoning. anybody figure anything out? Here's two: The numbers on lottery ticket represent letters of the alphabet, which spell out MAGPIE The Life runes seems to appear on the chaosudoku, or maybe its just the mind runes. darksonic45
I think some people found anagrams for different summoning monsters.

daigotsu
Either that or "Clue In." The lottery ticket has two words with a simple A=1/B=2/.../Z=26 substitution, "Magpie" and "Macaw." The sketch by Pikkupstix is a "Wolf Whistle," which is the name of the Summoning starter quest. "Anger Unseats Bacteria" = "Use granite crab as a net" by Annette Fisher (a net fisher) The nonsense lines underneath that anagram headline each contain the name of an animal: It will BE A VERy bRAVE New world in the nIB IS sharp shUN. I CORN-fed helLO CUSTomary sLOBS TERminate a. The "To Do" list contains anagrams, but I haven't tried solving all of them. I only recognize "Add Flower" = "Dread Wolf." D Honey, (there's your first clue) "A Gory, Drying Banshee" = "Angry bears dig honey" 2009 Member Goals: Undetermined

WingedFish
The to do list has morse code. Nice eye, that translates into G-E-C-K-O :) I'm guessing you can summon them then. The chaosudoku puzzle is done wrong as well... There is two air runes in the top-right box that are both in line with other air runes... Hint maybe? I'm looking at the first letters of the rune names but I think that's a dumb idea. EDIT --- After looking closer I've determined that the entire chaosudoku puzzle is done wrong...
daigotsu
The post above mine with the link to an old thread contains a lot of these puzzles solved already. The "sudoku" puzzle turns out to be a cryptogram with runes substituting for letters. 2009 Member Goals: Undetermined

Lt_Surge
That large whistle animal is a wolf whistle, and the Pickupstix, or whatever, is just that. When I see people say it, I pronounce it "poon" in my head. Makes more sense to me. My friend said it in real life once and I almost kneed him in the family-maker.$DO || ! $DO ; trytry: command not found
Zeus_s_Soul
oh, and from the postbag where the puzzle appeared: This month is the Chaos Elemental's birthday, and as one of the oldest and possibly wisest entities in RuneScape (Gypsy Aris estimates its age to be equal to the number of yew trees, minus the number of coal rocks, times the number of werewolves, with an accuracy of plus or minus two thousand). In celebration of its birthday, I've asked it to supply a few anagrams for your delectation. I am it. Hangar's at ninth egg on motion. A shingle's ounce ramp, cur! Hi, Jimmy's a nontechnical pomps. Lurk, thesis-stink! Oh, till goofier homonym. Guaranteed slimes sing. Ocarinas blast it: tell warranted variants. A camouflager's overworked net. Hotshot manatee, not thorns! Utmost hop; up, ghastlier salad net. Now seething benign, hesitant. Now degraded trash. I've heard thesse can be unscrambled to find summoning animals. la la la
With the letters in the gory banshee one, you can spell "Grey horse" with a few letters left over.
