Also, a lot of new pokemon black and white details got revealed, like the new mew/celebi/jirachi. It's named victini and is fire phsychic. They seem to be going back to the awesome types :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:

If by awesome you mean a type riddled with weaknesses, sure :D

 

Fire/Psychic has the following weaks: Water/Ground/Rock/Ghost/Dark

 

And the following resists: Fire/Grass/Fighting

 

I'll analyze it futher, but 5 weaknesses kinda hurts it badly.

What I'm saying is that now everything is either steel or dragon or psychic. It starts to irk me the lack of variety.

 

Heck, ust look at gen 4's legendary trio. the same time for all? gheesh.

 

Sure, the new legendaries might have dragon and psychic aswell, but at least now they have some variety.

 

That and lpease nerf stealth rock.

Typing isn't everything though.

 

Look at Celebi, it's chillin with its 7 weaknesses and it's one of the most used OU pokemon and one of the best defensively. Movepool makes a HUGE difference.

 

Rock/Dark isn't very good typing either. Terrible defensively, as it's really only good for normal and fire resists. Its got this terrible 4x weak to Fighting, it's weak to Steel, which causes Scizor to run all over it, it's weak to Ground, Water, and Ice, which are common offensive moves. Rock/Dark is also mediocre offensively, since Dark's best offensive move is 80 base power (Crunch), although you can make a case for STAB Pursuit. Rock has good offensive power, but all rock attacks are so prone to missing that you can't consider it on the same level as stuff like Earthquake, Close Combat, Thunderbolt, or even things like Fire Blast, Meteor Mash, and Draco Meteor.

 

And yet, Tyranitar rocks the night away.

 

EDIT: Btw, it'll resist Psychic too, but not that it matters since Psychic attacks are almost never used in OU. That's the reason why Machamp is so amazing (well, one of the reasons). No one uses Flying or Psychic offensively on a regular basis, so for all practical purposes, Machamp has no weaknesses. Of course, you have Skarmory (who is easily dealt with if you switch to Magnezone or Heatran, even Jolteon if you're confident), Togekiss (lmao, too easy), and Azelf (Tyranitar, Scizor, and Metagross can say hi to it), but out of all of those, none of them are particularly threatening.

There also is Gyarados with Bounce, which I have seen quite a few of lately.

 

That being said, I've recently fallen in love with Kingdra. That thing is utterly brutal if it can get a turn to set up with a Rain Dance or Dragon Dance. It also pairs up great with Scizor, who can lure in things that Kingdra can smash apart, like Heatran and Gliscor. Scizor also enjoys the rain to halve his fire weakness.

Kc, we still need to do our match. I should be able to battle most of today, but pm me so we can arrange a time, because I won't be constantly checking my PMs (probably).

And omni, I wasn't around all day yesterday. I'm gonna be doing a few things around the house today, so don't expect any immediate response.
