Tourny against the pro Pit is tomorrow and I have not practice on Fox

2:39-2:43 is the reason why Mario is awesome against Pit. :twss:

The Cape is practically Pit's worst enemy when he is trying to recover.

Mario isnt hard to be 'good' with really, but he is hard to be 'pro' with.

Fox is extremely underrated. I just watched a japanese fox vs marth match and made me think, wow, competitive american brawl sucks.

I dont need a siggy no moar.

Sadly, this is how good Japanese 'appears' to be. Japanese people are full throttle offense making it look fast and flashy, like Melee. Need for speed, and ignoring defense completely..., which is why Fox and Diddy are extremely popular in Japan. In brawl, however, those flashy attacks would get crushed by the standard snake-defensive style. Brawl is a defensive, punishing game... no combo's forces it to be so.

It's an obvious fact a good american would beat a good japanese person, but americans are the ones complaining melee is better, while they dont even try to play like the japanese. (melee is so different to brawl so theres really no use trying to compare).

But even in american brawl, fox is underused ALOT, he is very strong and fast, but his recovery lets him down.

(Falco has no need to recover. D throw chain into [bleep]e / laser spam into [bleep]e noob) :P

"Brawl is a defensive, punishing game..."

Who is the top tier character? Meta Knight. He's NOWHERE near defensive. He doesnt even have a projectile to defend him.

I dont need a siggy no moar.

Hypocrite. You tell others to be nice then attempt to murder people. Nice going, you just failed life.

No, MK's not defensive, you're right. But if you give a character that has a moveset in which every attack except one are all the best attacks in the game, that's what you end up with. No need to be defensive there, because nobody can even punish you. (Yes, it's almost impossible to punish MK) I guess my rule applies to all EXCEPT MK.

And saying Falco has no need to recover is saying that he is invincible...

Fox has too many weaknesses to be called good...

Howbadisbrawl, brawl, now.

Alright, so my little brother's gotten pretty good at Brawl and I've started to have trouble beating him. Neither of us are what you would consider 'pro', but we are pretty good. We're casual players that have been playing quite frequently since the original super smash bros came out so we definitely know what we're doing in the game.

My question is, which characters should I train on the most to beat him? We're pretty even skill-wise, except he mostly uses Toon Link, Pit, and Lucario and I use Sheik, Toon Link and Falco. Also, if you guys have any general tips that would be nice too :D

Wow, he picks all the characters with nice projectiles, lol. I'm assuming he spams his projectiles, so I would master your falco.
