bsmovies
Small side project me and a friend decided to do. As we both do electrics (music-wise) and i can scream. We saw that there are a couple succesful screamo-crunk bands, so we made our own english twist on them. And have started to mix screamo with drum n bass etc. Only been up a couple days, so early days, but yeah. whatcha think? http://www.myspace.com/krunkdt or http://www.bebo.com/KRUNKDT ::also:: on "loved" the lyrics come in about 1min. It has a classic long DnB intro :D.
AdioLovesSquall
why go the novelty route?
Nadril
Generic sounding beat, and the screaming (for lack of other words) sucked.
angryjoe
Didn't mind the beat. Stopped listening after about 3 seconds of the screaming.
Intriguing
Interesting enough idea. The beat on Loved was alright--enjoyable, but not amazing. You probably need to work on the screaming a bit more though. I kind of stopped listening to Baa Baa pretty quickly. Cool.
bsmovies
Cheers @ the constructive critisicm ;D And yer, the screaming in this style = early days for me. My main band is a Gore/Deathcore band, in which the screaming dosent matter whether its audible or not, so now im re-learning screaming to make the words audible D:
Evil_Sabre
I never understood screaming in "music"....I'm really reluctant to call it that....
Intriguing
I never understood screaming in "music"....I'm really reluctant to call it that.... It's kind of one of those things you either "get", or you don't. As in, some people will view it as another way to musically convey emotion on a different level to "clean" vocals, and others will view it as noise. Although it's perhaps not the best example, I've always viewed it as similar to using distortion on a guitar in order to get a completely different sound from the same instrument. Cool.
