I went to the June 5 riots. I'm not a rioter I know that the wildy isnt coming back and i'm past all that. I just went to the riot because I wanted to see what would happen. Hey i was bored. Anyway for laughs I decided to join the rioters and i typed "Selling rioters 1k ea" I thought it was pretty funny, because I got PMs like "Lol" and "Nice" and even "What level do you have to be to wear a rioter?" But it kinda shocked me that someone traded me 3k and requested the name of 3 level 70+ rioters. So i decided ok I'll just give him some names.

 

 

 

So basically I made 3k off the riots. Not that much, but it was pretty funny. Do you think that Rioting could be a multi-million gp buisiness? <-------sarcasm =P

Yay, 12k per hour. Multimillion dollar business? No. But if we somehow got a bunch of people to "sell" rioters, perhaps we could stop these pointless riots. Or get Jagex Mods in there to perm mute all of the whiny noobs, many of whom are using autotypers and breaking other such rules. Some riots have valid points; I have nothing against those, but I am against a mass spamfest full of autotypers causing the whole area to lag. If you want Jagex to change things, post in a reasonable manner on the forums. Rule breaking whining and rioting is not going to help anything.

Actually, he could hire someone for cheaper, so it may not be account selling. Still, less then 12k per hour really isn't that much, even for a newb. There are so many better things to do, and who's going to trust that a level 12 or so is going to carry out his side of the "agreement"?

uuuuh you might want to be careful the next time you do that, because if you did give random names, the person couldve gave you money so youd tell him names so he could report you :!: i wouldnt do that anymore if i were you. and no, i doubt this could be very effective because once to many people do it, nobody will riot at the riot (lol), itll just be a bunch of people saying "selling rioter 2k, show cash first!".

Because I wanted to know why someone I can generally perceive as intelligent would post something so stupid.

I think what he did is say he was selling rioters, then someone gave him 3k for 3 rioters, but he didn't hand the rioters over and got a free 3k.

You could probably make money by selling pink or blue skirts and prayer pots so people can use retribution for longer before going to an altar.
