June 15, 200818 yr Could somebody please tell me the best way to train mage F2P? I currently have a mage level of 42. When I say 'best way' I mean the way that generally gets me the most exp for my gp(the most bang for my buck and some might say). The rate at which I get the exp is not of much concern. 100% F2P99 Defense, Tuesday February 10th 200999 Attack, Tuesday May 26th 200962,189th to get it
June 15, 200818 yr Maging ice giants worked for me from lvl 60-71. They have low defence and I hit high almost every time (by high i mean over 5). I may be wrong but that worked for me, I think the only downside would be the constant threat of the ice warriors, but if you've got a fairly good defence and 10 or so items of food you should be fine for a few hours, and the ice warriors stop attacking you after 20 minutes. That's how I did it :D It's a work in progress ... 125 Bandos Kills, 2 Tasset 4-man split, 1 Death. Gf :DFeel free to add me, my private chat is always on
June 16, 200818 yr er if what you're looking for is the cheapest way i'd suggest using curse while wearing full metal armor (bronze works the same as rune) with dragon hide vambraces. This way you have a very low bonus and don't actually "curse" the opponent, but you get the same amount of experience and can do it again. Ex: If you have a high magic bonus (mage robes, ammy, etc.) you will actually "curse" your opponent and then will have to wait for their stats to get back up If you have a Very Low magic bonus (metal armor, dhide, etc.) you won't "curse" your opponent and you can continue doing the spell with a low chance of stopping to wait. You will occasionally hit, but its not much of a problem. Body runes are quite cheap, and with a water/earth staff and the opposites runes it would be easy to get a hold of. The major concern would be how boring and tiring it is because it has no auto-cast and therefore usually scares people away (like over 99% of the time... ). If you have a lot of patience, good luck, this is the route for you. Other wise just runecraft air/mind runes and use a fire staff and fire strike on the lesser demon upstairs in wizard tower.
June 16, 200818 yr well in my pure which has like no cash i did curse up to like 25, 1 - 25 useing curse and those things tooke like 20 mins and costed bairly anything. But. the best way would have to be Fist of Guthix if u want to save money, and maybe even have abit of fun. Fist of Guthix supplies you with all the runes u could need for free... Other than that crumble the undead on skeltons ispretty fast if u got the magic lvl for it... in my old pure i got 65 mage just from maging lessers in the cage lol, but that costed mills
June 16, 200818 yr alch addy plates/green d'hide bodies, it's only 50gp per loss. Three months banishment to 9gag is something i would never wish upon anybody, not even my worst enemy.
June 16, 200818 yr alch addy plates/green d'hide bodies, it's only 50gp per loss. His mage level is 42, not 55. But you could try magic in Fist Of Guthix, as it is free expierence. When I felt like playing my pure I got 60-63 there, for free too ;). I won't say cursing, as it has already been said but you can try using attack spells on the corresponding wizard, South of Falador. So you use fire strike on the fire wizard, or whatever they are called, and you constantly hit 0's, so you gain exp. but you don't kill, AFKing FTW! ;) My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages.
June 16, 200818 yr FoG is free, but you are only on attack for 1 of the 2 rounds, and the XP is halved, the upside is that you can fire your highest combat spell for free, and throw in binds as well (always try to bind when the opponent is out of the centre). There are a limited set of monsters you can possibly mage down at a profit, buying strikes (at 10 per mind, 15 per air, 9 per fire, it is currently cheaper to use an air staff and buy fires). As an alternative, buy minds, as they are a hell of a walk, and make your own airs - in this case, wielding a fire staff is the way to go. The possibility of breakeven or profit depends on picking monsters that have sustained value drops: Rats (stronghold of security) = normal bones every kill. Cows = bones, hide, raw beef Giant rats = bones, raw rat meat Giants (any kind) = big bones plus other drops, Limpwurts from hill giants are a solid payday.
June 16, 200818 yr Fist Of Guthix is the best way you MAKE money and EXP here. To get most exp tell them you will let them win, you just want exp.(No money this way.) I Support TET!| If you want bunny PM Me.|Click For My DevArt^ Cowboy is the Best ^IT'S A TRAP SHINY JUST WANTS TO STALK YOU.Hell yeah I do. Whats your msn? That's how it all starts. Next he's going to ask you what flavor of candy you enjoy and whats your favorite color van.
June 16, 200818 yr If you aren't bothered about hp xp, maging the fire wizard south of falador with fire strike works a treat as he is immune to it - you can do it for hours and you wont touch him! Thank you to tripsis for an awesome sig!
June 16, 200818 yr I say fire bolt on lessers. there r a lot of safespots, lessers gives good drops, a lot of hits, and they are WEAK to magic! I can hit 12s back to back to back on them! Lessers also drop fire and chaos runes for the spell, and even some death runes. All you need is about 5 lobsThis method is a bit expensive as i spent about 250k training from 49 to 55. Heres the estimation im making to up ur mage from 42 to 55(for high alc, which is easy xp) chaos runes:around 3500 (360k) fire runes: around 14,000 (126k) (use fire runes and air staff as it saves money even though u need more fire runes. You can also pick up fire runes at the demons) money spent:<490k money gained (without rune med helm):from 15k to 30k depending on you luck ;) money gained (with rune med helm): from 25k to 45k so basically if u want some good drops and is willing to spent a bit money i recommend fire bolts. to train from ur stage to 55 u need around 450k. Its not cheap but you can do either fire strike on fire wizard or cruse with full metal armour and train to lvl 50 then use fire bolts. shame on all you people who call others noobs
June 17, 200818 yr You could telegrab zammy wines and sell em in gx. If you have an air staff, its very profitable... slow... but profitable There is no way to make "Millions fast and easy"... SO QUIT ASKING ABOUT IT!
June 17, 200818 yr Curse the monk of zammorak under the stairs in varrock castle. While wearing an earth staff, it takes 2 waters and 1 body or 42gp per cast. It gives 29 xp per cast (even if it fails) for an xp/gp ratio of .6904 compared to a ratio of .2226 for earth bolt while wearing an earth staff (based on average of 30.5 xp given per spell). Wearing full metal armor helps the spell fail more often, but that's not a huge concern since zammy monks take less then a second to regain the defence lost. I do 1k casts a day, 500 in the morning 500 in the afternoon. The only downside to this is that you don't get any hp or prayer xp (presuming you burry the bones) like you would for combat spells. quit
June 17, 200818 yr curse spells on chickens and cows, mage the wiz south of fally, telegrab zammy wines north of fally maxed out melee on 10/10/08, current goal: 94/99 cookinglife may be unfair, but why can't it be unfair in my favor?my fake plant died because i forgot to pretend to water it
