Really, at 18, you are legally old enough to download porn, fight and die for your country, and be in the lottery, amongst other things, yet you aren't old enough to drink beer. Nice going America, enjoy your [developmentally delayed]ed drinking laws. If they lowered the drinking age to say, 19, it wouldn't be so bad. I'll probably just chill on my 18th birthday, go to a stripclub, and maybe drink a little, in the confort of my own home, where cops wont find me. I was going to eat hot dogs for dinner tonight. June 16, 200818 yr I didn't do anything momentous. I didn't buy cigarettes, lottery tickets or porn. I think I probably went to bed. It was just another day. Birthdays aren't a big deal at my house. I think my dad bought me some flowers and mom brought home a lemon meringue pie... but my family can't afford presents (except me, so I'm always the giver instead of receiver), so there wasn't a whole lot of fun-ness. My friend held a "surprise" party for me, but only one person outside of her immediate family showed up, so it made me kind of sad rather than happy. Birthdays make me feel like such a loser. Mentally, I'm still about 14.

June 17, 200818 yr Sex probably wouldn''t be the first thing I'd do, since the age limit for that is 16 (If there is a max. three year difference in age, it is 12). I probably wouldn't do anything, maybe go partying or something. I've pretty much decided that while I am pro-marijuana, I will not use it, or atleast use it only in select social situations, and I'm thinking birthdays are those situations. So maybe I'll light one up, maybe not. I have a feeling booze will be involved, despite drinking age being 19. I do know what I might be doing for graduation: roadtrip to Alberta for some legal drinking. This has given me a lot to think, most not pretaining to turning 18. I don't really think I will do anything special for 18, will probably do more next year for 16th than for 18th. What is so good about turning 18 in America anyways? There's no such thing as regret. A regret means you are unhappy with the person you are now,and if you're unhappy with the person you are, you change yourself. Thatregret will no longer be a regret, because it will help to form the new,better you. So really, a regret isn't a regret. It's experience.

I doubt I was doing much, most likely telling other people what to do. 21 happened just a couple of months ago. I woke up at 6:00 that morning, and cleaned theaters. I think I found a pyramid of popcorn tubs that day. ~M
