What are the basics for MTK?

 

 

 

I have done the two quests in all, all I really just need to know how much money to put in, for the best profit, and where to put the workers.

1.3m bare minimum for a weeks worth. Get there using fairy code CIP. Mine coal every week, and make sure you refill. I put mine on 10 flax and 5 coall, but thats not the best probably.

 

 

 

Personally, I leave over 4m in the coffers and only go to mine coal every week, and fill it up with mroe cash every 3 weeks or so. I haven't took my MtK reward for weeks.

I thing is 10 workers work as hard as 9 so put 9 Maples and rest flax. I suggest putting in atleast 2M if not more.

10 workers on coal with 5 on raw fish is the maximum possible profit from just the main resources now. I use 10 coal, and 5 maples, though.

No, coal prices have risen a lot, and swordfish went down a little bit. Coal is more profit now, that's not considering caskets or keys, though.

since i dont want to make another post on this..

 

i have a breif question, is there anyways to loose money doing this? even if i dont go everyday to do sumthing?

Raw tuna currently is 120 and raw swordfish is at 464 while coal is only at 231. According to tip it's prices, you make a profit of ~139 per coal while you make a profit of ~63 per tuna and ~274 per swordfish. If you had 10 workers at coal with 750k+, you'd get ~545 coal daily while if you had 10 workers at fish, you'd get ~417-420 tuna and 139-140 swordfish, soooooo you'd earn 75k daily with coal while you could earn 114k daily with fish. Of course, maples might be a good option too with the nests.

You see, that's assuming that the fish are gathered equally. However, you get them in a 3 swordfish, 10 tuna ratio. So you have to add the cost of 3 swords, 10 tuna, subtract that from the selling price of 3 swordfish and 10 tuna, and then divide by 13 to get the profit/fish. I calculated all this yesterday for someone else who asked and I'll dig that up in a sec...

 

 

 

EDIT: Here it is...

 

 

 

I just checked the neew prices, and coal has gone up 40 gp since the last time I checked, swordfish is down a bit, and tuna stayed consistant. So, the new profit margins, not considering bonus materials are...

 

 

 

Coal ~ +134.4 gp/coal...147% gp return

 

Fish ~ +111.8 gp/fish...128% gp return

 

Flax ~ +49 gp/flax...123% gp return

 

Maples ~ -12.1/maple...22% gp return(78% lost)

 

 

 

and I'm sure you could manage to lose money with a setting like 10 farming and 5 maples, but that's just silly.

The key is to keep a bunch of money in--at least enough so they will be "buying" the max of 75k per day. Also keep your favor rating up. The ring/coal method is good for it; as is teak chopping. As to what you should allocate, check the prices of what they sell for on the Grex before you withdrawl. Maples are not as good as they once were, they 'buy' for 56 on the island, but last time I checked, sold for 44 each. Tree seeds used to be big money but unless you get maple seeds or higher, most tree seeds aren't worth it. Flax isn't as good as it was, fish are decent at the moment--but keep in mind everybody who uses MTK is also looking at fish. The key to MTK is to get out there and look at what the prices are in the Grex (for both raw materials and the finished products those RM can make) and decide from there. What the key is, is to remain flexable. Anything could become the "next biggest thing," and so fillingthat need is a good way to make money.

 

 

 

Smithing to 69 will cause a huge [bleep]e in prices at least in the short term fo anything helping to level smith quickly.
