Mayjest
Gum Disease. No particular reason, I'm just very bored revising for my A2s. But I went the dentist the otherday, and found out something interesting. If you look at your teeth in a mirror, you may notice that there is a small line of lighter pink on the gums near your teeth, and the rest of your gums a darker. I always thought that was a good thing. Apparently it's not. It's actually a mild form of gum disease. Apparently around 90% of the population has it as well. I didn't make up the statistic, but the dentist may well have. The moral? Brush properly, and floss. The dentist managed to scam me out of a lot of money over the last few months for fillings and such, don't end up paying for it in the future! Goals to get my skills back up to a barely respectable level on the high scores: Currently going for Bone to Peaches spell. It's amazing how boring doing the same repetitive task is! Gunnit7
I had to goto the dentist not to long ago.. ive started brushing my teeth again. :D Pier pressure? I can just see you being threatened by a wharf or jetty because you're a teleporter. Yes, I can see a large wooden wharf uprooting itself from the shore, walking over to you and slapping you in the back of the head for teleporting.
Uldric
I don't have any teeth but got a free pair of county dentures from the government.
Mayjest
Being a student, I got a discount on my stuff. But it still cost me a lot ( about 3 weeks worth of rent in Belfast). Seriously kids, clean your teeth while you can! Goals to get my skills back up to a barely respectable level on the high scores: Currently going for Bone to Peaches spell. krunkthemonk
You get free dental stuff here in Canada :o I hafta look at my gums later after school then lol :? Since when is it free! My dental plan covers about 80%. Which usually leaves me with about 80$ in debt if I have to pay for the X-ray's. Still, the dental plan saves a lot of money  The problem with the gene pool is that there's no lifeguard.
Dark_Tigra
I just had to get another (for the 5th time) porcelan cap on my front tooth because it broke in half from my little fall-on-my-face I did last Tuesday. Will cost me like $400. I have to get a cavity filled too but I probably won't for a year because I just went to the dentist like 4 times this month for wisdom teeth removal and whatnot so I don't feel like it. I just have one cavity "forming" they said. So whatever. I brush my teeth like 4 times a day to keep crap at bay. Teeth are evil.
Bubsa
Strange. I hardly ever brush my teeth and eat so many skittles. However, no fillings, no cavaties, no problems...ever! The moral? Overeating sugar actually creates a protective layer around your teeth! This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
Peter
I've never had any serious dental problems. I brush once a day, floss a lot less. No cavities, gum disease (maybe the one you described, don't know), etc.

jak722
You get free dental stuff here in Canada :o I hafta look at my gums later after school then lol :? Not entirely lol. There are still alot about it. Had to pay extra when I had my root canal done. HonkeyCat
The only time I floss, is when the dentist does it for me... Can't be bothered to do that. But I do brush every morning. Only one cavity
PinMonkey
bah! til they offer General Anasthetic for minor dentistry operations im not going back there! a few months ago, i was informed it was 6 months since i last wen to the dentist, so off i went! however, an xray and a few pokes later the guy decided i had 2 cavities! which was strange because although i dont really brush that often, i have only had one filling, and at my last dentist appointment the guy told me i had loverly teeth.... so i came back a few days later, and so he gets drilling - which i hate, although i can stand the pain, the needles/vibrating/heat/noise/strange feeling drives me crazy. but anyway, he plugs up those two holes and decides to do some "exploratory drilling" NO! ITS A LIE! "exploratory drilling" is another word for "creating more work" because suddenly i had two more fillings! in the two teeth that he had just "expored"! luckily he decided he had done enough damage for today, so he left the last two fillings, and i was able to escape. then by "forgetting about" the next few appointments and ignoring the phone calls, i just let my teeth rot. the only way im getting my teeth fixed again is if they all rot out, and i can just slap in some dentures, or they start offering general anasthetic! Overeating sugar actually creates a protective layer around your teeth! I'm like that too! The dentist always says I have very clean teeth and I'm just like you, well, except M&M's are a lot better. But now I got braces and I might have a cavity :( I hate braces (because you can't brush everywhere and I guess that's why I have a cavity)

____
Same here lol. Went to the dentist few months ago, and like i haden't brushed much in quite a while, brushed before i went and was fine  Same here. I hardly ever brush my teeth and they're in better condition than the rest of the people in my family who brush 3 or so times a day. For the record, I've gotten 4 fillings during my life. All of which came when I was brushing regulary. I've had no cavities since I stopped. I also eat more stuff which is supose to rot my teeth now aswell. I can vaugely recall something a while ago about some toothpastes being worse for your teeth than most junk foods. If I can find the article I'll post the link. Something about those whitening toothpastes stripping off the protective layer on your teeth or something like that.
