It's thought that Movario is looking for the Stone of Jas for Lucien, and it could be near by or involves Juna who guards the tears of Guthix. The oracle has also mentioned that "The great snake of Guthix guards more than she knows."

From what I see, it looks like 'it' is meaning the replica Staff of Armadyl and the 'it' is being possessive of 'recent discovery'.

Confusing, But i'll stick to playing the game than going in depth about runescape god stories that don't change anything.

As for Armadyl on RuneScape, well, we have differences of opinion. Amongst us we have Corporealists, who believe that he is still with us; that the morning dew are tears formed for his beloved Aviantese, and the sun burns with his rage at their death. The Incorporealists believe he left RuneScape at the end of the God Wars, observing life and awaiting to see which path it chooses. His staff does remain, however. With luck, and the courage of my brethren, this staff will never fall into the sweaty palms of evil again.

 

 

 

At the present we continue to guard the staff, as you say. We also train our children to become guardians (custom states that they begin by looking after the Steak Knives of Armadyl), which takes up much of our time. Also, we have brethren abroad, looking for future hiding-places for the staff. Lucien watches, and has his minions. We cannot let them within a whisper of such a weapon.

Armadyl is one of my noble brethren, although we differ on minor points and his interests lie elsewhere.

 

The last time I spoke to him, he was focussing primarily on the followers of Ikov and how best to assist them, but the theft of one of his artifacts has greatly damaged his reputation, although he is in fine physical health.

I remember a while ago when they released a Chaos Elemental riddle thing. One of the decoded messages said: Mahjarrat gathers an army, he slays many master. Or something close to that. I knew they were coming since that moment on. If this happens i might just start playing RS again...hmm

Nice find, but you think it could be zamorak? There is a statue of zamorak in taverley in the witch's house, but i'm to lazy to post it. Anyway in the curse of zaros miniquest it was said that anyone who touched the staff was cursed, so in the temple of ikov what happened if you brought the staff to Lucien; I mean do you suffer the curse aswell? (and yay for me, who just killed him. : )

Great find Den and Dak Jab : (although the whole 'new staff looks like concept art' and 'skeleton dude looks like Lucien', AND the 'Movario searches for Stone of Jas near TOG' thing were known to me for a long time) I got em from the Runescape Wiki, that is really a marvellous site! (even more now I use my vast knowledge of quests to strengthen the team there) :D It's all the old tomes, stories, histories and theories in one place!

Well, I'm glad to see that Armadyl will finally be in a quest again. I always wanted to hear more of him since the temple of Ikov quest. With this one maybe it'll shed more light on this lost god. Truthfully...he is my second favorite god next to Guthix.

 

 

 

Not to mention an update to Lucien and his diabollical deeds. Perhaps we will be able to use the Staff, or maybe it will be lost to Lucien.

 

 

 

When I first saw that pic from the Dev. Diary I initially thought it was the necromancerr that was in one of the lores a while ago...I think it was one of the Arrav ones.
