Just a few questions about barrows.

 

 

 

1. Should i use my prayer on verac if i'm not useing prayer potions? I have enough prayer for about 2 and a half brothers.

 

 

 

2. Whats the kill count again to get runes?

 

 

 

3. Well, someone told me it was bad to open the chest before killing the brother, why is that?

 

 

 

4. Average drop rate of any barrows piece?

EDIT: Question #5. Well, in the barrows guide, it says that you get double brothers or something if you get either guthan or torag as your tunnel brother. What does it mean, or is that my imagination? I haven't gotten either one as my tunnel brother yet.

If your Killing him first go right ahead since the crypt already drains prayer. he still hits through it mostly.

10+ for bloods and bolt racks.

Its bad because you havnt concluded the 6 brother kill count, which is your whole chance of getting barrows.

 

4. Average drop rate of any barrows piece?

 

Random.

1. Use your prayer in this order: Dharok, Karil, Verac, Ahrim, Guthan, Torag.

3. When you OPEN the chest, the 6th brother will come. This is FINE...but make sure you DONT SEARCH the chest. Until you kill all 6 brothers.

 

 

 

4. About 1 in 15 chests.

1. Pray in the following order: Dharok, Karil, Verac, and if you have left overs, Ahrim.

 

 

 

2. The runes/racks/coins are all random from my expriences.

 

 

 

3. You will only get items from the brothers that you have killed, so if you have guthans in tunnel, you wont have a chance at the spear if you dong kill him first.

 

 

 

4. I think around 1:18?

i prefer to pray on dharok, karil, and ahrim. i find praying on verac is silly just to see him hit through it.

its more of a chance type thing but for the most part i find that ur guaranteed at least 1 in 16 runs, although people have done 100+ with no luck

IMO, the order is dependant on how you deal with ahrim. If you melee him, then do Dharok, Karil, Ahrim and use your leftover prayer on him. If you range him, then do him last if veracing or gsing, or after verac if maging. If ranging ahrim(without verac's/gs), do Dharok, karil, verac, ahrim, guthan, torag.

From your posts and from my 4 barrow trips...(haha, i've only done 3, 4th one ahrim got me to 2 hp and ring of life saved me i guess...)

 

 

 

1. Well, i've decided to do dharok, then karil, then guthans, then ahrim, then torag (torag i never even get hit :shock: )

 

 

 

2. Hm, i guess i'll just use above 12 and under 16, mix them up, lol.

 

 

 

3. Oh, alright, so i guess i don't have to keep opening doors if it's ahrim or karil as the final fight.

Barrows at first seems like good money until you hit your first dry streak, my longest dry streak is 78 :wall:

You will only get items from the brothers that you have killed, so if you have guthans in tunnel, you wont have a chance at the spear if you dong kill him first

 

That is totally wrong because i got spear from guthan tunnel

When did you decide to do Verac? You left him off the list. And also, to answer your new #5, double brothers is a glitch that happens if a brother spawns when you go through a door, then you go back through and a second one spawns. Just kill one of them and move on. Theres also no need to deliberately try to get this glitch to happen.

and if your lucky you may get a double or triple drop of barrows

 

 

 

i just had a double 2 trips ago :) (v helm/t plate)

If you have it, why not use it? It'll get used up anyways. I go to Dharok (pray), Karil (pray), Verac (pray if I have it), Ahrim (no pray needed if ranging), Guthan, then Torag.

 

 

 

As stated, above 10, I usually get 16 (why I don't know, just what I've always gotten lol).

 

 

 

As long as you don't search the chest, you're ok.

 

 

 

I've heard 1/18

Dharok > Karil > Verac > Ahrim > Guthans/Torag always

 

No need for ppot

 

 

 

8 Kc and around 1/10 is around my average drop rate.. 20+ drops so far off around 200 trips.

the rate given in the tip it guide is 1 in 17 ... i am on one of those dry streaks someone above was talking about..... reallllllllyyyyyyyyy bad badddy baddddddd money

Not sure where, but Jagex released that the drop of a barrows item from any individual brother is 1 in 108. If you kill all 6 brothers every run, the average drop rate is 1 in 18 runs.

counting all the chests i have opened(maybe leaving some out) i come up with 1:26 for a barrow item, probably because of my 185 dry streak -.-
