Just chill out with all the negative BS towards Jagex for being a COMPANY. Damn guys. All I hear is RSOF bashing all day, but this type of stuff isn't that much better.

They want to flip the bird at every WoW player that said "Omg RS graphics suck!"

They're using low and uncool ways of advertising, often used by smaller companies or websites. There's nothing wrong with it and it's a good way to attract more people, but I'm skeptical about Jagex doing something like this. It makes them lose the professional status.

 

 

 

But let's take a look at how the other games, WoW advertise their game and what tags they use? Maybe they use the same strategy.

 

 

 

 

 

even popular musicians on yt use this method to get views. It's totally notmal. Not like jagex is using cheap low-blows to advert

That's precisly why Jagex have added those tags. Not really much to discuss here.

Since Runescape is a competitive MMO, and needs new customers to survive, it is always possible that they are trying to lure some customers from other games. The whole HD is almost definitely a way to get users who play more "graphic heavy" games onto RS. I wouldn't say for certain that they are trying to get WoW players onto their game, but since Jagex knows WoW is THE biggest MMO out there, they probably want people to see their trailer, and this, use the tags in order to get people to see the new-er Runescape.

 

 

 

And trust me, Jagex and Runescape are getting alot of new publicity from the updated graphics.

They are just using popular tags, very common thing to do. As to why dont they use tags like 99 or skillcape, what is the point of advertising to your own customers? What good does it do?
