July 11, 200817 yr The casting speeds are the same, the melee hitting may not be but the cast speed is. And you need to go to the g.e to sell racks/runes/items anyway, so you just buy the bloods then. Oi...test them yourself, I have. I won't try to convince you further. Ancient staffs have a similar speed, I assumed this was common knowledge... Either way this is completely off topic, but I suppose the question has been answered anyways... July 11, 200817 yr i have no idea since i dont trian mage and never look up spells he porrobly ither thoute it funny u going to barrows and wasting your money or he telling the truth :? but that just wot i think only way is to go get worst mage bonus go kill some lesser demons with slayer dart Wtf?! Its like you don't even try to use grammar and you type with your thumbs. Heres what i think you said? I have no idea, since i don't train mage and never look up spells. He probably (ither?) thought it was funny you were going to barrows and wasteing your money, or he could be telling the truth. But thats just what i think, only way (and here is where i'm totally lost) is to go get worst mage bonus, is to go kill some lesser demons with slayer dart. :?: :?: :?: 1. Not only does your post totally suck in punctuation, i think you were trying really hard to flame me. 2. Your post is spam, and why the hell would i try to make him waste his money? 3. Use firefox, it checks your spelling and puts a giant red squiggily line under it to tell you that its spelled wrong. ither means either, I think I like chocolate chip pancakesDO YOU?Barrows:Guthans Warspear x1Dragon:Shield left half
July 12, 200817 yr Author If you plan on maging barrows I'd go with firewave, it's cheaper and it is better. OT: It is based on Mage Bonus Besides, the slayer staff looks better, and it has a higher magic bonus, and it shoots faster. Just generally better in every way, yup. Lets resolve this: Does slayer staff actually make u shoot (cast) FASTER than using firewave? zzZZ [- Glory From Beyond -]ZZzz
July 12, 200817 yr people use in barrows cause they have lowest in game. PSN: Skaterguy1224 Tactical Nukes - 22
July 13, 200817 yr Does slayer staff actually make u shoot (cast) FASTER than using firewave? Cast time is the same, but slayer dart is the fastest moving projectile spell. Only time it matters is when doing the doublecast trick.
July 13, 200817 yr Does slayer staff actually make u shoot (cast) FASTER than using firewave? No, all damage spells have the same cast time. Lol @ people who think testing means casting one spell, then another, and deciding one looks faster. July 13, 200817 yr It is affected by magic bonus but as the melee brothers have such negative magic defence you can have a low magic attack bonus and still hit well. If you had a 0 magic bonus because of melee armour and attacked someone with a positive magic defence bonus you'd barely hit. The max hit of it is your magic level divided by 10 plus 10 and rounded down. (eg.77 / 10 = 7.7 + 10 = 17.7 rounded down = 17) 99: Agility 28/12/14|Thieving 20/03/15
July 13, 200817 yr Yep, all spells have the same casting speed. All spells will attack at the speed of a longsword regardless of spell or staff. And what's the doublecast trick? Is that where you make two spells hit at the same time?
July 13, 200817 yr most people use slayer dart because the runes you get from the chest are the ones used in the spell and you usually get more than you spent so its free mage xp pretty much Dragon Drops: 5 medium helmet, 3 left shield halfObby: Maul 1, Cape 1, Shield 1
July 13, 200817 yr Tbh I just use slayer dart because the staff looks cool  Anyways, BBL OFF TO SLEEP WITH A RACCOON
July 14, 200817 yr the spell hits more accurately with more mage atk bonus although at barrows this dosent matter at all because they have such a low mage def.
