For me, as a non racist, it wouldn't matter. It seems to make people mad when they are racist. It's just another label and it only annoys people when they believe it. But that's my opinion on the subject. *By the way, I think racism is wrong, so don't think I think it's ok*

I wouldn't care because It's not true and for those who are racist why would they care? That's like calling a blonde person, blonde. Bit of a bogus thread babe.

I wouldn't give a dam about what they think/say about me but I would want to know why they are saying it.

Because it would make them look like a bad person. If you were a racist, and I pointed you out in a crowd, wouldn't you be embarrassed or upset? It's such a common thing to shun racist people. It'd be very difficult to keep a job if you started throwing slurs at a customer at your job. I sadly had a few racist friends. When I pointed it out around people, they were embarrassed and threw denies and excuses out like a machine gun on automatic.

bogus? I am merely curious. If i were to be called racist I would be bothered by it. I would consider my self a racist person, but anymore I just dont know. I thought about it, and I am honestly unsure. I dont want to go into details because it could be offensive.

on another thread here, a student(he was like 13) said we should teach our children everyone is equal. Infact if i recall, he implied FORCE of equality. Which, I do not believe is contradictory to things, "separate but equal". I dont think brainwashing people into believing the same thing about everyone is going to be a good thing

People throw the term "racist" around a lot these days. I don't believe any race is subordinate to mine (white) nor do I discriminate against anyone based on race, therefore I'm not a racist.

Singapore is a multi-racial country.Our natives are Malay,but over the years and WWII,we've got some Chinese folk too.And Indians :roll:

Racism has been twisted into something that even anti-racists don't like. Some people are guaranteed jobs because the employers are scared of racism, even if they're not qualified. :(

True,but I've not seen many racist blacks that aren't "balling" or whatever the younglings call it these days...

 

 

 

Though to be fair I haven't seen many blacks irl.

Everyone's a little bit racist or a little bit bigot. It's people who take jokes waaaay out of hand or people who hate blatantly and ignorantly that ruin it all for us normal people. I see nothing wrong with a joke or two, but threatening a person over their race? Denying them a job? That's pretty much [cabbage] in my eyes. No matter what race you are, it shouldn't be a factor. Unless, I guess, you're a white actor trying out for a black part. My black friends love hearing "racist" jokes. Of course, that's probably because they're pretty true for those two... :P
