Meh I remem at megadeths 99 slay party everyone was waiting for him and I ahd one out I never sued the tele before used it and was right by kbd lair with 90m cash on me no food no teles -.-

 

 

 

Tbh with oblisk that tele you lvl 44 wild and the fact im 72 mining and even witht he boost I cant mine rune I find it not so usefull for me maybe if i ever get 75 mining :roll:

Highlighting the hobgoblin mine wasn't bad but I'm just gonna comment about the KBD part. Considering how close kbd lair is to the lvl 44 obelisk, you are better off using a bob + healing for kbd instead of a familiar that saves you seconds-minutes of travelling convinience but actually doesn't really do anything in the lair.

Take 2 pouches with you! one to tele and one to help you fighting the King black Dragon!

It's a bit of a trek through the maze, but I believe there are greater demons inside the underground part accessed through the ladder in the centre. I don't know how busy the greater demons in Brimhaven have been of late, but if you're struggling to find an empty spot, you may want to consider these. I can imagine it would be pretty much empty on every world which means you can have them all to yourself allowing you to get through your GD tasks a little quicker. Plus, there are 2 rune rocks in there, so those with 85 mining can mine them and wait for them to respawn while they do their task. You'll want to watch out for the black dragons, though.

EDIT: I've just realised there're lesser demons near the centre of the maze; assuming revenants aren't too frequent there, that would be a good place to do some lesser demon tasks too.

I did some really fast granite mining using the pharaohs sceptre to the ancients pyramid, just walked down it, and to the left was the granite mine. Tellied using duel ring (8) to castle wars when I was full, banked the granite 500g, and repeated. Every 3rd trip I had to charge the sceptre again but with that method you can make it back to the granite mine in less than a minute! It's faster than the camulet method too. Went from 78 - 80 mining with ease :mrgreen:

 

 

 

Also like you say, it's great for KBD, if only I wasn't chicken enough to go and fight it.. #-o Just have to watch out for the noob revenants :pray:

Is it though? If you consider that when you want to bank, you can simply teleport out of the KBD's lair, quickly bank and use your titan to teleport back virtually right by the entrance to the lair. Sure, taking a few extra sharks is useful, but with the lava titan you have your entire bank at your disposal, and it'll only take you about a minute to go through the process of banking and getting back into the action.

 

 

 

The obelisk teleport things (their proper name escapes me currently :P) are alright for getting there, but you have to get to one first, and then pray it doesn't constantly take you through the wrong locations for ages. I swear the game somehow knows where you want to go and purposely doesn't take you there sometimes. :P

 

 

 

Besides, most familiars that have a BoB ability generally aren't very good fighters; from what I hear, the lava titan is a pretty decent fighter, which is handy when fighting monsters with a high defence level.

I just tried letting the lava titan fight, and the extra 5 damage definitely applies to it. It gets an extra little damage bubble with a 5 in it as if it had dds specced. This happens maybe 1/5 hits, making it the most accurate fighting familiar I've used. It's too bad that I'm already 99 str and don't need the exp, or I might actually care lol.

Hahaha, the lava titan is all limericks, so I wouldn't get too excited about that.

For the people who think a beast of burden is better for the KBD... Don't knock the titan until you try it. There's no reason to extend your trip when you have 61 minutes of infinite teleports to literally 20 seconds away from the KBD. Heck, there's no reason even to use expensive fish, might as well just bring cheap fish and kill three or so. Then teleport, restore prayer, bank, and go back.

The teleport is nice for those who are between 83-87 I guess, but I will (and most others?) still use my unicorn post 88.

 

I don't see how they compete, unless you mean you like using the unicorn to fight the KBD... It's not like you really need any healing familiar to fight green dragons or mine adamant/rune. And if you do mean using the unicorn on the KBD... banking is so quick with the titan that it's almost pointless to focus on extending your trip. Go with a load of lobsters, kill as many as you can, bank, repot, and teleport right back.

 

you could also just use the titan to get to the KBD and then switch to a unicorn.

I just realized that I hadn't tried mining with them yet :lol: It's also pretty decent at whacking things to death, if that matters to you.
