dusky
Well, title is pretty self explanatory. Let me give a few examples on how item lending will lead to price drops. 1#:someone wants to their wc up, so they borrow a friends dragon axe rather than buying one. 2#:someone wants to finish a slayer task quickly, he borrows a godsword for the slayer task rather than buying one for a long time. 3#:someone needs to do something hard for a quest or something.Rather than saving up for good armour he borrows some good armour from a friend for an hour or two. I hope jagex re-thinks item lending when the notice what will happen. sincerey, Dusky 830 99 Fletching - 01/08/0899 Theiving - 09/11/0899 Cooking - 12/13/0899 Runecrafting - 10/23/0999 Strength - 05/07/
GGunitfan10
Actaully I borrow my friends ss and realized how pwnage it was and went ahead and baught one for 7.8m wich is higher than the mid price. So actually i think people will just want the items more. just myopinion :D
BabyPunchers
Well i can see your point of view. My friend was going to let me borrow his Sara Sword for a long time because he only uses it for Waterfiends. I just borrowed it to see how it'd look with my full bandos and probably am going to buy it tomorrow. Thanks to all those who have messaged me concerning a revamp of my Range-Slayer guide. Because of you all I will start rewriting it asap.[/color] Formerly RobinHoodie.
GGunitfan10
My other friend lent me his phat which i would buy if i had the money but sadly its like 350m or something lol but the way i see it the more people lend stuff the more the other person will want it....still havent been lent a gs yet lol
wolfmon56
I don't think it will effect anything. It could make the price go up though. Say player A has a gs, player B wants to use it. Player B is lent the sword, but player A wants to use his sword player B asks again, and player A says "no" So, player B will have to buy one, if he really wants to use it. Why the prices won't go down is because One of the 2 players (one lending or the one using it) won't have that item, thus the demand will stay the same causing the person its being lend to, to buy the item. Doryphore
ya, I sold my whip and I barrowed one, and realized it pwn the Dragon Scimmitar, so i wen t ahead and bought one. some rares might drop because if people can wear a phat for several hours for free why would they buy one for 340mil? Knite
No one will borrow to anyone except their friends, so i think the prices will stay the same. Kill_Thomas9
We need to make prices go UP!! So when your friend asks to borrow your item the first time, say YES. The next time he asks, say NO. That way he will like the weapon so much, that he will go out and buy one of his own. Hence, prices will rise.
bedman
well this sorta speaks for itself :( You just took a bucnh of items that can be lended and coincidently are going down... What a proof. Top hat has been going down for like a few weeks now. Why didnt you put in BGS? Why didnt you put in Armadyl? why didnt you ... Tons of the items you listed were going down anyway. Stop making so easy assumptions. A Guide to Chinning in Ape atoll: up to 325kxp/h!

My question was kind of rethoric. Of course he's not putting in items that are going up, cause that's against his hypothesis. We have an other thread saying prices are going up cause of lending. I'm not saying this thread is wrong, and that thread is right (more like the oposite), but I think people are trying to make conclusions way too fast, and are (deliberately?) overlooking things. "Lendable items are going up!1!1! Look at bgs!1!1!" me: BGS was bound to go up. It has always been going in waves "Lendable items are going down!1!1! Look at AGS!1!1!" me: AGS has been going down forever since the introduction of the GE cause it was overpriced. A Guide to Chinning in Ape atoll: up to 325kxp/h! So I assumed he meant Armadyl(armor) and it is missing. btw BGS +1.4m
