hey guys...was thinking of trying some soloing at bandos with my bgs....which familiar should I take ? war tortoise/bunyip or fruit bat ? My stats should be OK for bosses right ?

im a noob summoner so i don't know really but your stats are awsome :thumbsup:

1 thing for sure is that u cant really use fruit bat as it will take too long to pick up fruits while ur getting att. i would chose war turtle since u can pack food that heal quicker then a bunyip

war tortoise for sure, you wont get much healing in with a fruit bat or bunyip

Normally people don't use healers. The small amount they'd heal isn't worth the extra food the war tortise can carry. You may find the Terrorbird useful for Tireless Run, but if you budget your run, you won't need it.

Yes, although I really wont Sara/Arma until you get 90+ range.

Or if you're just plain dumb. Taking all the time to stop attacking the boss, and not being able to use the special in an emergency makes the fruit bat really terrible. By your logic, it would ALWAYS be better to use baskets of strawberries for your food, correct? Especially for bounty hunter where you need as much healing as you can get!

Unicorn is better than a fruit bat. Also hes soloing, you probably missed that.

today I tried soloing bandos with my war tortoise....2 failures :(

 

 

 

first trip I had to teleport and second trip ROL saved my [wagon]....

 

 

 

what am I doing wrong ? For sure I forgot to use piety though had melee prayer on.

 

 

 

I dont want to go in teams to bandos since all LS/CS worlds are full.

 

 

 

Should I level up my range to 90 and find a small team to go armadyl or sara and sell my bgs and get a DFS ?

But quick answer war tortoise, while a bunyip will help it might not heal fast enough and you won't get the chance to pick up the fruit then heal from it.

Take full torags instead neitzot and d hide. You are losing range def since you don't have a shield so you need more def. Piety will make a big difference also.

do you think buying bandos chest and tassets instead will help a bit and using torag helm ?

get full torags and get zammy zambs(you doint need a sara item in the area with gobs or hob gobs) keep with the bgs make sure your first or second hit you use the spec. pray melee and piety and use a super set. i dont recomend sara brews as they de-pot your stats. and with that you should be fine. with my stats and a bit worse equip. i got a solo in 50% of the time with a bgs

Your inventory is one super set, two prayer potions, a hammer, a house teleport tablet, and sharks. Your war tortoise has 18 sharks.

 

 

 

Get KC on the hobgoblins. They're outside of the hammer door, but spatially directly south of the boss chamber. You will only be attacked by hobgoblins there, so no need to worry about any god items.

 

 

 

Turn off auto retaliate. Run to the boss chamber, potting on the way. Have Protect from melee, piety, and protect items on. Enter and attack Graardor. When you need to eat, run under him to make him dance. This cuts down on the damage you take significantly, and makes it really unlikely to be KOed. If you're using SGS, heal on the minions when the boss is dead. Re-pot after every boss kill. I've had three kills in one trip with this set up (though I did get incredibly lucky and kill the first one in two sharks).

ok got full torag as suggested, switched off auto retaliate (something that I had on in the past 2 trips) and took mantas instead of sara/restore. I managed to kill graador but when I went on Steelwil I couldnt access my tortoise to retrieve food sicne was attacked all the time so had to teleport grrrrr. Any other suggestions :)

Use a Karil top. It boosts me from almost 2 kills on the average trip to almost 3 kills on the average trip.

 

 

 

Were you running under Graardor to eat? Seriously, that's key. Saves you about 60 hp per kill you would otherwise have lost to ranged attacks while you're eating. If you look up solo Bandos videos on Youtube you'll see what I mean.

I take birds instead of turtles because either way I can usually only get 2 kills(3 if I get 2 good specs) and I'm a bit lower than you...

-Glory(I absolutely refuse to give up my teleports, yes I am that stubborn)

 

-Karils top(I was only getting 1 kill/trip with guthans plate)

 

-Torag legs

 

-Dragon boots

 

-Zamorak cape

 

-BGS

 

-Wealth(no point soloing as opposed to LS if you don't use a wealth in my opinion)

 

-Barrows gloves

 

 

 

With a tab, super set, and 2 prayer pots along with 12 sharks in the bird as Toast's guide suggested. Definately make sure to have piety on, the 25% extra defense is just as important as the attack bonuses, and using brews/restores will slow down your killing a bit AKA make you take more damage.

 

 

 

Only thing that I can think of limiting your kills is you possibly not making sure to dance while eating. Also, use the dump bob button to get food from your familiar, and I kill grim[bleep]e first with piety/mage prayer on to decrease damage, I usually can't or just barely kill Strongstack.
