Jangofett880
As we all may have just learned, Metallica has just announced that their new album "Death Magnetic" will be released Friday, September 12. The track listing is as follows: -That Was Just Your Life -The End Of The Line -Broken, Beat & Scarred -The Day That Never Comes -All Nightmare Long -Cyanide -The Unforgiven III -The Judas Kiss -Suicide & Redemption -My Apocalypse Metallica's new album is looked very down upon by many fans just because of the release of their last album "St. Anger" With many fans saying "If the next album isn't good at all, Metallica is done for good." Metallica has been saying that they are going to go back to what people like with "styles" of "...And Justice for all" Reply with your thoughts of what the new album is going to be like, or if you have heard some of the tracks on Youtube, feel free to post some links so we can see if the new album will be a good album or not. DO NOT reply by saying "Well, if this album isn't good at all, Metallica is done for good." Thank You for your time. =D *All information taken from http://www.Metallica.com ^ :shame: CAUTION :shame: : Jangofett880's blog may be hazardous to any idividual with heart, kidney or liver problems, or those that are pregnate, ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK^^TO MY SUPER AWESOME CLAN^
How2PK
How they are putting this in the market doesn't promise much good. Not that I care, of course. assassin_696
How they are putting this in the market doesn't promise much good. Not that I care, of course. Really? I quite like the options available, similar to NIN's Ghosts release. It seems they're catering for a fairly wide fan base, slightly coporate maybe, but more interesting than just a CD I think. I haven't heard anything off the album yet, but Rick Rubin's produced some good albums recently so this might be a return to form. cheese666me
already heard it. nothing too special, only like 2 songs. people will be expecting a huge comeback. combining the best aspects of 5 albums is not the best way to make a good album, imo. they should have made something simple instead of that "kill black lightning master justice" album salad. Why even try with that idiot? Honestly, there is no point whatsoever. I'd get better replies if I argued with a tree stump.
Zierro
Unforgiven III? You got to be kidding... Metallica had so much potential until Bob Rock came along and stripped them of their punkish attitude. I still like some of the songs from St. Anger - but not nearly as much as I enjoyed their first few albums.
Lateralus
It'll be interesting to hear The Unforgiven III. I really enjoy II, though I think I might be in a minority. Terrible album title anyway. La lune ne garde aucune rancune.
Da Pirates
Face it, they were good back in the day. Everything after their self-titled album sucks, when will they give it up already? BR BR BR? HUEHUEHEUEHUE
Lateralus
Face it, they were good back in the day. Everything after their self-titled album sucks, when will they give it up already? It depends how "hardcore" you are. Plenty of hardcore metalheads and ex-Metallica fans would chastise you for including their self titled with their 'good' stuff. Other people won't even go as far as And Justice for All because they think it's too up it's own [wagon]. Load and ReLoad (to a lesser extent) are actually really good albums. I'd call The Outlaw Torn from Load one of the best pieces of music they've ever written. La lune ne garde aucune rancune.
dragoonson
Can't call yourself a true fan if you can't accept the band's changes.Same with NightWish ^.^ Sounds good, but I don't see Death is Not the End...So my sneak peak was useless? Hey,My Apocalypse...Arch Enemy cover? so i herd u liek devarts? If you look at me and feel offended by my 666-ism,think.I could be just as offended by your "cross".[hide=This's why I'm hot]The Eleventh Commandment:Thou Shalst only say "Amen, brother".Amen, brother :lol:Amen, brudda (referring to the 10th commandment)amen Bruder! Zierro
One of my friends said, "Load and St. Anger are good albums - but not good Metallica albums." I agree with him. It's kind of like they changed into a whole different band - still talented, but far different than they used to be. That's why they still have fans, but it's also why they have an ex-fan club. Most of the things in their music that they altered are the ones that got them fans in the first place. I have to say, I miss the James that screamed instead of the one that sings.
Zygimantas
They should go back to the style they used for the first album " Kill 'em all". That is honestly my favorite album they have made... 99 Hunter - November 1st, 200899 Cooking -July 22nd, 200999 Firemaking - July 29th, 201099 Fletching - December 30th, 2010
feedmetotheforest
They should go back to the style they used for the first album " Kill 'em all". That is honestly my favorite album they have made... the thing about that is they are no longer in the mindsets of that album, they are no longer faced with the same emotions, events, etc that helped create the album, as time has passed their music has evolved with their personalities. Even if they tried to make another kill 'em all I doubt this would be achievable, you would just be left with something that comes off forced and terrible. Zierro
Yeah, that was a good point. I guess you can't really put the blame on the actual band because everyone changes. But you can't really blame the fans either for disliking the changes.
Poopingman
These aren't official track titles, that hasn't been released yet. These are actually tongue-in-cheek titles the band came up with as a bit of a gag, if I'm not mistaken. Metal fans, check out my band!Still the King.... Leik
St. Anger is one of my favorite albums by Metallica, so I cant wait for this one! I hope The Unforgive III will be better then II. I really didn't enjoy that one. :? Was okay at first, but now when it plays in my iTunes I always skip it. Can't wait! I wish Vultouros(The other new song) or whatever it's called was on it though... I really liked that one! P.S. Load, ReLoad and St. Anger were all great albums and still are!! LIVERPOOL WILL WIN THE PREMIER LEAGUE THIS SEASON. Lateralus
I actually enjoy most of Load. It's not all fantastic, and there's some god awful tracks like Cure and Ronnie, but I really enjoy songs like 2x4, The House That Jack Built, Hero of the Day, Bleeding Me and The Outlaw Torn. Admittedly ReLoad isn't as good, but it has its moments. Fixxxer is probably the highlight. La lune ne garde aucune rancune.

Doom1200
I'm holding out hope. I've always liked Metallica no matter what album. Kirk is one of my biggest guitar influences, so I'm a big fan. I hope it'll be good. I read in an interview in a Guitar World mag that one of the song's, Kirk was saying, cycles so many time that he feels like he's soloing for a full minute.

I do admit that the song St. Anger isn't that good, but the rest is awesome, specially The Unnamed Feeling, Shoot me Again and My World. And those songs you like on Load are exactly the songs I hate the most by Metallica. LIVERPOOL WILL WIN THE PREMIER LEAGUE THIS SEASON.
