IeatWindex
Welcome to My Guide to Runecrafting! This is my first ever guide so bear with me. I know, I know, My Runecrafting level is horrible. Just because I lack the patience to level it, Doesn't mean I know anything about it! Now for the section thingy-ma-jig. Sections 1. What is Runecrafting? 2. How to get started. 3. Beginners walkthrough. 4. Levels 1-20 5. Levels 21-40 6. Levels 41-60 7. Levels 61-80 8. Levels 81-99 9. Extra's. 10. Thanks. Section 1. What is Runecrafting? Runecrafting is the skill that enables you to make runes for Magic. The skill can be enjoyable, yet could be tedious. Runecrafting is centered around using Rune essence or Pure essence and going to the corresponding altar to make the runes. The Non-Member Altars The Air altar: This Altar is located South-West of Falador. The Earth Altar: This Altar is located West of Varrock, near the lumberyard. The Fire altar: This Altar is located a tad north of the Duel Arena gate in Al-Kharid. The Water Altar: You can find this Altar South-West in the Lumbridge Swamp. The Body Altar: South of the Monastery, east of White Wolf Mountain. The Mind Altar: West of the Black Knights Fortress, *It is NOT located on the mountain* Member-Only Alters Cosmic Altar: this Altar is located in the Southern Area of Zanaris, the Fairy City. This Altar requires finishing the "Lost City" quest. Chaos Altar: It is south of the Dark Knight's Fortress, located at level 9 wilderness. Beware of Revenants. Astral Alter: This is located on South-eastern Lunar Isle. You must have completed Lunar Diplomacy. Nature Altar: This is north of Shilo village, located in the Karamja jungle. Law Altar: North of the Monastery on Entrana. You cannot bring any armour or weapons (excluding runes) on Entrana. Blood Altar: In the center of the Meiyerditch Caves. Death Altar: Mourning End's part II temple, on the western bottom floor. Section 2. How to get Started Before anything, complete the quest "Rune Mysteries". It's a simple quest, but doesn't teach all the basics of Runecrafting. To obtain access to an altar, you must first obtain the corresponding talisman to the altar. You then, with the talisman and the essence, right click on the altar and enter it. You then go to the center of the altar and click on the altar and your rune essence will be turned into the rune at the altar your at. There is also the option of obtaining a tiara of the certain alter so you don't have to right click on the altar, just click it on the "Mysterious Ruins" and enter the altar. Do make a tiara for the altar, bring with you a normal tiara and the talisman for the alter and use the talisman on the altar. You will lose your talisman, but the tiara is just as good. Now to move on to leveling up this skill! Section 3. Beginners Walkthrough Now get your Rune essence, you'll be using it for a while, You can buy it, or mine it from the Rune essence mines. Get yourself an air tiara and it's best to have nothign but your tiara and essence with you. Walk (or run) down the Falador south gate and just a tad west while walking down the path you will see "Mysterious Ruins". Now click it and enter if you have your tiara. And if not, just buy one. They are 100gp at most. Click the structure with the air symbol on it and youll have your air runes. you should end up with 28 air runes. It's worth noting at certain levels you become able to double the amount of runes you get from the essence. But you Don't get more exp if you double, triple, etc. the runes. Exp and doubling table's coming soon.. Section 4. Levels 1-20 Coming soon... You'll be Rc'ing on world 16, whether your a member or not. You wont be profiting just yet. I'd recommend not to use the assist, solely due to the fact you won't be gaining exp, and you'll need it. The smartest thing to do to level your Runecrafting level is make the highest rune you can. Keep in mind this guide will be for Non-Member's to an extent. Once I start switching my method's to using Pure essence, this guide will no longer be helpful for Non-Member's. I may make a entirely Free-to-play method after the completion of this guide. Once you are able to make the next available rune, make it! The begginning of this guide will be very simple, but more methods will become available when we get into Law/Nature Runecrafting. Once you get 20 Runecrafting from making Air, Fire, Earth, Mind, Body, and Water runes. Easy, eh? It's not hard, but if you haven't found this tedious yet, you soon will. Section 5. Levels 21-40 Coming soon... Section 6. Levels 41-60 Coming soon... Section 7. 61-80 Coming soon... Section 8. 80-99 Coming soon... Section 9. Extra's Coming soon.. Section 10. Thanks Please, im far from done.
Inuashakent
My tip is to try adding space between sections, it helps make it seem less clumped. Also, too much of different colors can make it hard on the eyes. [Summoning guide (AOW)] [Slayer guide] [Melee & Brawl player]

Theoknight2
Methinks you should try again after the runecrafting guild is made, or else it might turn your guide topsy-turvy.
IeatWindex
Methinks you should try again after the runecrafting guild is made, or else it might turn your guide topsy-turvy. Thank's for the feedback, but I'll add in the changes when the guild is released.
IeatWindex
Well I thought as I get ever bit done someone can give me feedback on the beggining (sp?) part, seeing as If I posted the guide, it would be harder to find mistakes and such, but if it's edited and made peice by peice you can be focused on the parts that were so-far made. Tip's and such are great help. Edit- Aw man sorry for double-post.
SirHartlar
Why not just post it until you've completed it. There is hardly anything for us to give criticism on, but seeing as no one bothers to post a complete guide here is some c/c. -Add info on the Abyss -Add info on pouches -Discuss Summoning -Discuss use of Super Energy potions -Discuss ZMi Altar (benefits, consequences) -Add info on pouches -Add exp rates per/hr -Add profit per/hr -Add equipment For now this guide gets a 1/10. :)
Chalksmith
I think you are forgeting the easiest way to get from lv1 to 9. The quest for the abyss give 1000 runecrafting experience with minimal effort and also a pouch.

mario_sunny
It's dissapointing, even for a guide under construction. You could have at least made the first version bigger. All I see are a few paragraphs filled with information that is easily found on tip.it's own runecrafting guide. If you are going to explain runecrafting by level intervals, then please, do not hesitate to steal information from the other two million guides that include explaining runecrafting by level intervals. If you intend to keep your guide in this style, I do hope your 'extras' will be stuffed full of information that we do not find obvoius already. Not to dwindle too much on the critism, there are things you can do to improve the guide. Remove the level interval style of your guide. l can think of two guides off my head that use the same style, and there are probably more than that. Try focusing on different methods of runecrafting, just to throw out an example. You could list different ways to enter the law and nature altars (currently the two most population altars), compare them with calculations, chuck a bunch of variables in, and get final figures such as exp per hour and gp per hour. Ways to enter I can think off the top of my head: -Fairy rings -Hot air balloons -Graahks (or whatever they are called) -The abyss -Regular running And a few methods: -General store noted -> unnoted method -Terrorbirds By popular demand, this signature is back- however I currently do not have a blog up at the moment and if I did I wouldn't update it. Sorry, the sig links to nowhere :( .
Ouchy
This is quite a nice start to your guide 'Windex : . You have the formatting sussed, but you just need to add pictures. My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages.
Leoo
Good start, Runecrafting is quite a complex skill to make into a guide (with all possible methods such as Graahks for crafting Nature runes). Maybe you should add some content about the Runecrafting Guild/Mini-game and explain the benefits.
Owned_Nex
Type it up in Word first.... You should also have a high RC. Just because you THINK you know about it does not mean anything. Dungeoneering isn't a skill. I'm faster than bots at Sorceress Garden. PM me if you want to chat. My PM is always off. My keyboard is on fire. Want some?
