Charms

Featured Replies

Well i just started training summoning, I heard that granite crab pouches is a good way to get experience from 16-40.But for that I need about 1.1k gold charms. So what is an efficient way of getting these charms and how long will it take me. I am thinking of bursting at rock crabs but was wondering how much it will cost me and how long will it take. And if bursting is too costly then what other alternatives do I have?

Fire giants are really good for gold charms, as well as hellhounds. But might as well just do slayer, its the best way to get charms in the long run

You are probably right but right now I really want a bunyip after selling guthans and frankly slayer is quite a slow way of collecting charms. Sure I get occasional good tasks for charms but right now I am simply focusing on charm collecting and slayer is far too slow.

If you have 65 slayer try dust devils, for crimsons that is, I get most of my golds from fire giants...

Try for creatures that drop more crimsons than golds, but still a fair number of golds. That way, when you get high enough to start using crimsons, you'll have a huge stack of them :D

Good monsters that fit this description are dust devils, fire giants and cockroaches.

harpie bugs and turoths drop gold/green charms quite commonly.

plus theyre quick and easy to kill.

in an hour you can get 200-300 gold charms easily.

this is from personal experience.

Monsters don't drop two types of charms commonly. Rather gold, crimson, green, or all at once.

Are you sure about 200-300? That seems highly unlikely...

I'll just assume that that is an excessively exagerated number

Fire giants or rock crabs(from what I've heard) are good blue charm droppers. I would suggest that you go after crimson droppers, though.

For Gold charms, try rock crabs and fire giants.

For crimson, I would say waterfiends if you don't have money to waste. OR Ice bursting rock lobs which is the fastest way ever to get magic exp+charms.. but costs about 1-1.2m/hour.

I would say waterfiends tbh.

Moss giants aren't bad, depends on your level though, fire giants pretty good too.

im not exagerating the number, i just get extremely lucky at times. but it rarely works out to that many that often.

No, you don't get that many charms in an hour. It is ridiculous to claim 200-300 charms an hour. You'd have trouble getting that many even if every single monster dropped a charm (which they certainly don't, I've tried both). Use a stopwatch when you time.

Ice warriors and giants are also good choices.

And you can even browse other sites if you use the ice warriors near the ice queen, as long as you have good defence.

i would say train slayer and collect charms on the way, but if not hellhounds and firegiants are quite good for a lot of gold charms.

I like to think of the Dark Bow like a Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG) - you get one shot and then you're screwed.

Fire giants for gold, Kalphites for blue(atleast the 85lvl's drop them pretty much), Waterfiends/Rock lobs/Dust devils for crimson, Bloodvelds drop greens alot.

Don't know what you're talking about...I can't even kill that many turoths in an hour, let alone get that many charms from them.

at lower levels, I just ToGed Summoning. Easy and free too, save you charms for when you can use them efficiently. Aside from the 256 gold you get to start with (or however many it is) I didn;t make a singkle pouch until 47 summon.

Hmmm....

I need a new siggy, get round to doing it later.

Probably.

me too

i did tears of guthix because summoning was obviously my lowest skill. I made it to 45 without wasting single charm or wasting any money training summoning    :o
