If you want colour & not grayscale on Photoshop, go to Image--->Mode------> RGB Colour. ;)

OR you can use the color balance option? As well as change the hue etc.

FFS. I uninstalled, re-downloaded, re-installed GIMP, but it still pwns me. Guess I need to download unstable 2.5.0 version.

I would suggest you do Sallaste, even though it may be unstable it may contain bug fixes which have been err... bugging you?

Mine always just crashes on me, I just press Ctrl s after everything I do.

Mine doesn't even start, error comes up when loading brushes, if it matters.

 

2.5.2 was supposed to have some things purely broken and some just filled with bugs. Tried to install 2.4.0 instead of 2.4.6, but it also crashed.

Don't even bother with 2.5.2 unless you have a C compiler readily available and know how to use it. You have to build it yourself from source, and then put it into a windows installer.

 

 

 

What you should probably do is save your brushes somewhere else, manually delete all .gimp-2.4 folders in your user account (As well as any other user accounts that may be on your computer) delete the gimp 2 folder in Program files, and generally make sure that there isn't a trace of GIMP left on your computer. (There might me an uninstaller, I wouldn't know I have always needed gimp). Then try reinstalling gimp.

You were right about Gimp 2.5.2, it is way too complicated for me.

 

There actually is an uninstaller and that is at Program Files -> Gimp 2.4.6 -> setup. But it doesn't remove everything.

 

Guess I must try what you said, and hope it works.
