August 12, 200817 yr The Wii is considered a family console with lovely fun party games and games aimed at kids. Well, not anymore. I don't even have a Wii, and I don't want one, but this game almost tempts me. Trailer (18+) How awesome does this look? An article in the Daily Mail slammed it, saying it would change the image of the Wii. Personally I think this is one of the best looking games on the Wii. And the stylized graphics inspired by Frank Miller look great.
August 12, 200817 yr The game looks good though I can't say the graphics are my favorite. :-k Internet Marketing For Newbies
August 12, 200817 yr Game looks interesting, and the blood and gore definitely is different for the Wii.
August 12, 200817 yr :? I can't seem to find any description of the game. From the trailer it just looks like another fighting game with lots of blood and objects to kill people with. Looks more generic (except the graphics) to me then something that could be one of the wii's 'best'. Sig by IkuraiYour Guide to Posting! August 12, 200817 yr I understand they want the graphics to look different, but that is painful to keep looking at :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::
August 13, 200817 yr Maybe my Wii will finally find a use? I hope this is a GTA style game, where you can just roam and complete missions. The trailer doesn't tell much about the game, besides the fact that it's violent and the graphics are funky.
August 13, 200817 yr This is the same Daily Mail who blame immigrants for 'social breakdown' in the UK, and seem to believe that Gordon Brown somehow had any control over the sub-prime mortgage collapse, right? Not exactly the most open-minded group of people you'll ever meet. I doubt one game's gonna change the Wii's image. It's not like all the families who've bought the console so far for Super Mario Galaxy or Brain Academy are suddenly going to drop the cutesy games and go for this one, and then consequently turn into the House of Satan. It's a storm in a tea-cup. :? | Favourite Game Music | Last.fm | HYT Friend Chat Rules |
August 13, 200817 yr WOW. Just by reading the description and replies, I knew it would look like a pseudo-artistic, cartoony black & white game. Not that I'm judging it; That's stupid to do without playing it first. But it does look like an eyesore to play for more than maybe 20 minutes.
August 13, 200817 yr First of all. The Daily mail is crap. This is the same newspaper that said anyone who listened to My Chemical Romance is part of an "Emo death cult". I freaking hate the Daily Mail. But i think i'll get this game. My wii has been collecting dust since i got bored of Brawl. Thanks to all those who have messaged me concerning a revamp of my Range-Slayer guide. Because of you all I will start rewriting it asap.[/color] Formerly RobinHoodie.
August 14, 200817 yr na it isn't the wii's bane, i know a few violent games on the wii. The house of the dead 2&3, No more heroes(killing people in this game turns them into blood fountains :-#), and red steel are some of them. AS for the game itself it looks pretty interesting.
August 14, 200817 yr Author MadWorld has been 'reviewed' by The Sun and The Daily Mail now, and neither have mentioned that Manhunt 2 is coming out for the Wii later this year. I don't like tabloids, they blow everything out of proportion.
August 14, 200817 yr Nintendo Power did a cover article on the game . . . Let me dig out my copy . . . Basically, the protagonist finds himself in a game called Death Watch where he has to dispatch his opponents in the most greusome and entertaining way possible. The violence is completely over-the-top in order to remain light-hearted instead of dark and serious. And there are minigames. One of them is called Man Darts. You knock people towards a huge dartboard with a baseball bat. I don't know how much of this can be found eslewhere, but that's the most coverage the game has had I believe.
