ClareJonsson
Hi folks, I love to cook, and am fed up of not remembering all those recipes people have told me. Being a coding kinda girl I decided to write a digital cookery book. But as usual I got side tracked and it never happened. Well the other day I saw my laptop sitting there in it's bag, not been used in ages, and thought I could put that in the kitchen (it has wireless) and use that as a digital cookery book. Overkill? Maybe. Awesomely kewl? My boyfriend thinks so :). All that was missing was the software to run it! So I have put up a webspace called Recipe using Joomla so I can add recipes from anywhere that has an internet connection. Why am I telling you this? Well I was wondering if any of you had any recipes you would care to share with me? If you have then please post them here, If I like the sound of them I will definitely give em a go. RSBDavid
My favorite thing to do is to take 4 or 5 different types of pasta, cook it and add a garlic sauce and some cheese. THat stuff is the shizz, just like german chocolate! (our german exchange student brought probably ll lbs of chocolate. ) [software Engineer] - [Ability Bar Suggestion] - [Gaming Enthusiast]
feedmetotheforest
Scooby Snacks Ingredients: -2 cups flour -2 eggs -1 cup dry oatmeal -1tbl Vanilla -1/2 cup Cocoa -1/2 cup sugar -1tsp Walnut extract -1oz of finely grounded Cannabis Cooking Instructions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl. If there is not enough liquid to mix all ingredients after 5 minutes of stirring, add a tiny amount of milk to aid in mixing of remaining ingredients. Taste batter before cooking and adjust amount of sugar to your liking. Place on a lightly greased cookie sheet and bake for 8 to 12 minutes, depending on how large you made your cookies. Can be cooked for a shorter time for chewier cookies, or a longer time for drier, crisp cookies. obviously just remove the Cannabis if your not into that.. Pesto Pasta Ingredients: -2/3 cup basil pesto -one 9oz. package fresh fettuccine -1 tbsp. olive oil -3 cloves garlic, minced - 2 cups sliced roasted red bell peppers - 1/2 cup pitted olives, halved lengthwise -Salt and Pepper to your preference Cooking Instructions: Place the pesto in a large bowl, cook the pasta according to the package instructions, while the pasta is cooking heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and cook, stirring until soft and fragrant. Add the peppers and olives and cook, stirring until hot ( about 3 mins). Season with salt and pepper to your preference. Drain the cooked pasta, reserving 1/3 cup of the water. Whisk the pasta water into the pasta. Add the pasta to the pesto and toss to combine. Add the peppers and olives and combine. (makes about enough for 4 servings) Spinach Lasagne ingriedients: -1/2lb lasagne noodles -2 10oz packages of frozen choped spinach, thawed and drained -1lb soft tofu -1lb firm tofu -1tbsp. sugar -1/4 Cup soy milk -1/2 Tsp. garlic powder -2 Tbsp. Lemon juice -3 tsp. Minced fresh basil -2 tsp. Salt -4 Cups tomato sauce Cooking Insturctions: Cook the lasagne noodles according to the package directions. Drain and set aside. Preheat the oven to 350 F. Squeeze the spinach as dry as possible and set aside. Place the tofu, sugar, soy milk, garlic powder, lemon juice, basil, and salt in a food processor or blender and blend until smooth. Stir in the spinach. Cover the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish with a thin layer of the tomato sauce, then a layer of noodles (use about 1/3 of the noodles) Follow this with half of the tofu filling. Continue in the same order, using half of the remaining tomato sauce and noodles and all of the remaining tofu filling. End with the remaining noodles, covered by the remaining tomato sauce. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes ( good for about 7 servings) Strawberry-Mango Crisp Ingridients: For the Fruit Mixture: -1qt. quartered strawberries -2 cups diced mango -1/4 cup sugar -1/4 cup flour For the topping: -1 cup flour -1/2 cup rolled oats -1 cup brown sugar -1/2 cup margarine Cooking Insturctions: Preheat the oven to 400 F. Mix the ingredients for the fruit mixture together in a large bowl. Spread evenly into a 2-quart casserole dish and set aside. mix the dry ingredients for the topping together in a medium bowl. Cut in the margarine until the mixture resembles small peas. Spread evenly over the fruit mixture. Bake for 35 minutes to 45 minutes, or until you notice it is bubbly. Serve warm with non dairy or dairy ice cream. All of these recipes are vegetarian friendly minus the scooby snacks, but those ingredients that conflict with this can easily be replaced with things like vegan egg replacer etc etc... Well there is one thing I don't have measurements but guesstimating seems to work. You fry some minced onions with some ground up pepperoni and mix it with egg noodles. If you choose your beliefs/lifestyle simply based on what your parents want, then you are a weak minded individual and are not even worthy of calling yourself a person. CowsEatFood
Psh, no olive spreads yet? : 1 Stick of cream cheese 1/2(?) cup of mayonnaise Salt # of chopped up green olives varies, depending on how much you want olive taste. 1-2 tablespoons of olive juice (the stuff that's also in the olive jar), also can vary. Mix the cream cheese and mayonnaise in a bowl until they are smooth. Then add the green olives and olive juice. Add a pinch-any amount you want of salt. You can refrigerate this if you want, it still tastes the same after a few days. ^I found this when I was trying to use up some green olives that I had lying around. I tweaked it to my taste and found it to be pretty hawt.
