Mercifull
I only ever use it on Defence. But thats because i'm already 99 in Str and Att. why2060
I use shared as it looks better having even stats than 90 Attack and Defence with just 50 Strength  My RuneScape Blog. Click here!
Zierro
I just hate shared. I'm too impatient when it comes to leveling.
Seraphyna
I use shared for strength training. Whip on controlled is still better than a sara sword.

Yes_Its_Ross
I don't used shared because I like to see my levels improve over a shorter time. I'd rather get 80 attack on monday, 80 strength on wednesday, and 80 defence on friday then getting all of them on friday. The levels motivate me. ]

Yeah and you can take advantage of that 80 attack and strength earlier :P Doomy edit: I like sheep
dirk4slayer
Not shared. Same reason as Ross, and actually, I don't want to level my Strength while on the way to 99 Attack Chuck Norris doesn't ever need a compass; he randomly points somewhere and north goes there in order not to anger him. Forerunner
I don't use shared at all. In my opinion whips are good for power training (attack & defence) & quick kills. A major setback is the fact that you can not train strength on its' with a whip. Only fear God,Know the weapons of the weak,The weakness of the hard. Seogege
Never once purposely used shared on any weapon. I just didn't like the idea of leveling all my levels 3 times slower, even if it meant all 3 of them leveling at once. Hmm, now that I think of it, that'd be pretty cool, but on topic, no, you should'nt use shared if you're planning to use a whip. Go with a dragon or obsidian weapon. Erichermit
Shared. I want str xp but I don't want to be forced to use an inferior weapon to slow down my slayer exp. And Im not dishing out for a saradomin sword. Do you hate Wyverns or Warped Terrorbirds? Think again! Misunderstood Monsters!Want to become a Champion of Champions like I once was? HoMM88
Shared. Unless I have a goal, like 75 attack. But atm (one one of my accs) my goals are 72/75 att and 66/70 def so I prefer shared as I get str xp too. So I should end up quite balanced. My goals: 5M coins: 4350K+ coins 200k+ items - 2 dec 5M coins - 16 dec I have gotten my 5M by christmas. -bah this is only here for historical purposes now, I got 20m+ already "fail, well atleast the title,i wont read it with that colours""If you hadn't posted in rainbow I would actually give this a proper read""Colours suck."*I remove colours*"Where did all the colors go!? Jard_Y_Dooku
I always used controlled before 99 melee stats... nowadays it doesn't really matter to me. Never trust anyone.
