silver_wits
if we all had to pay to surf the sites that weren't popular, we;d have to pay people to hit our sites. imagine that.

silver_wits
Well.. actually it isn't really that misleading. if we all had to pay for websites we surfed... we would never know of websites out there besides the ones we already knew. and... it would mark the end of the internet for those cheap people like me. Nabbagad
I'll be worried when a reliable source confirms this lol. And I remember in the last thread about this, the whole concept wouldn't work. If you had to pay lots of money to just access sites such as Google, mainly used to find sites, which in this case you wouldn't be able to access anyway without paying even more, I can't see how this would work. assassin_696
Déjà vu yet again. We've talked about this. This will never happen because the companies that try to enforce this system would just get undercut by companies which don't! Bingo, basic economics. And if the companies conspired together to try and bring in the system across the board they'd be cut down by competition laws. The companies might like to, but they can't. reaper88888
Wow this is as believable as "global warming". Actually, this is about as believeable as the statement that we went into Iraq to 'liberate the Iraqi people'. There is no meaning or truth in life but that which we create for ourselves. Kill_Thomas9
Wow this is as believable as "global warming". Well you're either a complete idiot and don't believe global warming, or you're a complete idiot and do believe that video. Lose lose situation. Either way you're an idiot. Anyway, you're really going to believe these people who bring you Athene's Best Gold Guide in the World My Love Secrets to Seduce Me: The *****-Shield By the way, the internet would fall apart if that were to happen because the entire point of the internet is this: Anybody can post anything they want. Anybody can read anything they want. Without that, we just have "Cox OnDemand Service Channel 1" on your computer. Oh, and think about this: If all the ISP's go do this new thing where you can only axcess X sites, don't you think there might be a small itsy bitsy demand for the "old fashioned" internet? And don't you think there is just the smallest chance that somebody might realise that if they started a new ISP company, there might be just somewhat of a demand, and they might get a little buisness? No ofense, and I'm not trying to flame or troll, but isn't the point of the internet pornogrophy. I mean let's look at the facts, about 90% of the internet is porn or porn related, anything you google enevitably leads to porn, and no matter what people say just about everyone looks at porn on the internet. If you choose your beliefs/lifestyle simply based on what your parents want, then you are a weak minded individual and are not even worthy of calling yourself a person. onuasdad
If it happens, who siad it woulden't be illigal to set up an ISP that gives just a simple monthly charge? They'd be getting mroe money then- if a LOT of people gog for an ISP that pays less, they'll get more money than the other ISPs, which would be getting mroe money, but sicne they would be all equal, the monthly-charge ISP would be getting more. Nowadays our modern technology causes big enviroment changes and humans are just too stupid to do anything about it and rely on everyone else. Déjà vu yet again. We've talked about this. This will never happen because the companies that try to enforce this system would just get undercut by companies which don't! Bingo, basic economics. Back to my point, if they DO sell internet for more, less people will use the internet and stop global warming. Death should not be taken as 'the end,' but a very effective way to cut down taxes. Most people do look at porn on the internet, but that is just a tiny proportion of the internet. Most of it is company websites, games, or sites like these. oegly41
I'll be worried when a reliable source confirms this lol. Completely agree! : Besides, who owns the internet? No-one owns the internet, so I don't believe all ISP providers are under this agreement. If this is right, I think a new version of the Internet will be made. Will H
I think I'll explain my point a bit more, as something tells me that a few people aren't getting it. Some are, but a lot aren't. The ISPs can introduce this system if they want. But, everyone will prefer the old system (what we have now), creating a demand. The 'switched' ISPs will have abandoned a product that is still in huge demand (and likely will be for a very long time), and replaced it with an inferior one. Stupid business manoeuvres aside, it won't be illegal (I fail to see a reason for a law against it) for another ISP to provide the 'old' service. Admittedly, they could make it much more expensive than what it was before (and make a lot of money out of it for attacking the 'switched' ISPs), but the 'old system' ISPs will undercut each other as normal, lowering the price until we get back to the same point as we have now: Cheap unrestricted Internet. If people want the original Internet, and it's potentially available, they will get it. ~ W ~

SnWRifleman
Well Microsoft is already creating a new type of a computer. I've see a video on it, you can try searching Youtube, I'm not sure what to search though. Basically, his new computer will be like a touch screen computer, that sits like a desk. You overlook it and can be used without a mouse. And you can drag items on the screen and it's kind of like dragging things over water. I'll try to look for a link.
