sword-user
I thought Adamnt was just a shortened word for Adamanite?
WhiteHorn
I think they've given up shortening names of items. Lots of really long names have been added recently, such as 'Helm of Neitiznot (charged)' - 27 characters, counting the spaces, while 'Dragon Dagger(p++)' would only have 18. What? Charged Helm of Nowai is still more recent than DDS.
8112204
Maybe that extra "+" sign will go over a character limit in the item names, so it had to be shortened?
The Runar
I agree. Super Antipoison and Antipoison (++) are a good example too - which one sounds better? Imamonkey
I agree with Seogege on the flatpacks. They can be a pain. I don't think you can buy what I want, but I have searched before to see. Kind of like they mentioned. Mahogany in a search still should bring up any mahogany item or mahogany flatpack item regardless if Jagex wants to call it Lemons on the G.E. Edit: Do a search on the G.E. database for "bar" and see what it brings up. It will bring up things like drinks. Now I can see why it would bring these up, I would probably do a different search for drinks if I were looking for drinks. Just makes sense that the actual G.E. where we go to trade should be a little more intelligent. I really don't see how that can be argued. I mean sure, a lot of us have figured to put drag in instead of dragon. Doesn't mean that the search can't be made a little smarter. You people kill me. Owned_Nex
Well, everyone has their own abbreviations, although some were unjustly changed. Dungeoneering isn't a skill. Higibob
My guess is that they don't have room to put Dragon but they have room to put Drag. Yeah, thats what i think too
magician_xy
The problem is that the GE search only does a substring search; that is, it checks whether what you've typed in is part of an item name or not. Ideally, it would check for misspelled words too (ie, "dager" would return "dagger"). Also, I thought I read in one of Mod MMG's posts that spelling of items and item names were going to be one of the things looked at for updating with consistancy. I'm 100% free-to-play!!!
