I was sitting at my computer one time, with my cieling fan on. Suddenly, I heard a BAM! I turned around and a fan blade had fallen off the cieling fan, flown across the room, and hit the wall... Sometimes, I would look at that fan and imagine it falling from the cieling, landing on top of me, and killing me... Therefore, this was really scary... :?

The air conditioner in my house isn't that great, plus the metal things that held the blades to the fan itself were made from some kind of cheap, weak metal.

Twice this happened to me:

I just got out of bed (6:30am) walk downstairs, go to my computer room, and sit in my leather chair. This chair can tilt 45 degrees and at the 45 degree mark you can push a lever and the chair will lock there--leaving you in an inclined restful position. Anyway, I always have my chair in that position in the morning and this one time as I watch my computer load I get a funny feeling.

It feels like I'm falling backward quite rapidly. It's hard to explain but it feels like I just leaned off a cliff, there is no noise of wind going by my ears and I can look around and tell myself that I'm sitting down but I get this feeling that i'm plumiting rapidly. Its really wierd and doesnt feel natural :|

Actually, my sister had vertigo and then had this feeling and told me it was different, but anyways. I Get this often, its like, sometimes when I'm in bed, I will be dazed, and falling asleep when I feel like the bed has collapsed beneath me. I feel as if I'll fall forever, but then I wake up, scared and see that I'm not about to move. I've had the same feeling in a chair once or twice, but its not as common as lying down for me.

Well maybe second to the ring finger...

My rightfoot always goes numb, I can put my foot on subwoofer, then I sit just like you put your rightfoot on your left knee, but instead of my left knee it's my subwoofer. :)

My friend shared an experiance with me a while ago, he was playing runescape with a cordless optical mouse, and it kind of did a little explosion in his hand. Know he doesnt know so much about computers, but anyone could tell you that its probably not a good thing. Well after he stopped shaking because it scared him so much, He logs back on (lol), and plays for a few more hours and goes to sleep. He wakes up having not thought of it for a while, and see a black liquid surrounding the mouse on his desk, apparently the batteries couldnt hack playing runescape as long as he could.

I play with my side pannel of on my computer alot one time I forgot that the pannel was off and I had my feet proped up on the computer and sliped my foot landed in the CPU fan.

I also had the speakers on and was partially asleep when one of those talking ad's came on. "WHHHHHHHHHAT!"

Didnt read any of the posts but the first

True story though: I was sitting at my computer, just doing whatever and i went to get up, and my big toe on my left foot just like went "SNAP" and i looked at it. It was pointing straight down and there was a big bump on my foot. So figuring this isnt good i play around with it, and finally stand up on one foot putting pressure on the big toe, it snaps back into place and i go on with my whatever-ing. Ths next day i saw the trainer about it and told him what happened. he said that i probably dislocated my toe.

Thats right, i dislocated my toe while chatting on IRC and browsing the web. They should have warnings on that stuff.

if i sit too long, and then i get up, reeeaaally wierd things happen

first, my vision goes - it starts to fuzz up and fade away around the edges

then, since ive gone blind, i lean against a wall - my body tingles, and numbness spreads from my hands up through my whole body

i get dejavu, and then think that everything thats happened recently was part of a movie

for a few seconds i forget the "movie" altogether, maybe its amnesia or smthin, then the feeling comes back to my body, i can see again, and i go "what the hell just happened?!"

this all takes places in a period of 10-20 seconds, depending on how bad it is

[EDIT] after a bit of thinking, this comes after really good movies, or basically any time when i just sit, stare, and do minimal phisical or mental activity

At the last pking trip event here I stayed up to 6am, after it I went to turn the computer off. I stand up and suddenly everything is revolving around me. Things are getting closer, my blood is rushing and then the computer turned off (the only thing that lit up the room). It was dark and I just layed down on the ground. Woke up 3pm that day while my mum was vacuuming the floor around me.
