Muted... i don't know how.

[stats][/stats][stats]As the title says my runescape account is permanently muted, and i'm really upset about it because i haven't made the offences i am muted for! While playing runescape i have always been polite to everyone, so i was staggered when i logged in and found out i was muted. I logged out and checked my offence history. 10.0 blackmarks for just one offence! I inmediatly appealed the offence by telling jagex that i am not the one that is responsible for the blackmarks. After waiting 3 days untill my account was unlocked i was really turned down to see that jagex had denied my appeal!

This denial results into being permanently muted. I would be very grateful if anyone had a tip on what to do.

i've been muted for breaking rule 1.

I apologise for any incorrect language, im dutch and my English isn't perfect.

I'd say hope that they impliment that degrading blackmarks system soon. Perm mute isn't completely permanant. I had a friend who was perm muted, he got unmuted a while later. It might take some patience, but it's happened.

Also if we knew what you got 10 black marks for (Like how offensive it was) we could help some more.

There's no alot anybody can do besides yourself and Jagex. All I can suggest is getting in touch with Jagex, or sitting tight. If what you're saying is correct, that you broke no rules, I'm sure the black marks will be removed.

It's unusual for someone to recieve 10 black marks and an instant perm mute for 1 offence :?

Sorry I couldn't be more help, and good luck!

Yes, like others have said there isnt all that much that we can do for you other then give you advice, its up to you and the jagex *cough* bots *cough* employees to figure this out and correct it.

Not really sure what your levels and stats are, nor should it matter, but if you were really upped to 10 black marks from breaking rule 1 just one time and that as your only offence then perhaps maybe you havent been playing that long? / have lower stats?

Although you would think that they would and should treat everyone equally we all know that that doesn't happen in rs or the real world. I mean I have like 8 or 9 offences on my account and 3-5 where from breaking rule one and only at 2.0 black marks even with the 3+ times I have been muted. (Currently working off a 3 day mute right now.)

Best of luck with working it out though.

This belongs in Help and Advice, which is where I requested it to go.

On Topic: Just because you are muted, that does not mean that the way you play RuneScape should change. Just keep doing what you were already doing before you muted. Life does not end because you cannot talk.

My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages.

You're mistake was that you appolizied. If you didn't say anything about being wrong, jagex would have accepted it.

Exactly why I asked.

Although not defined:

Apologize-You accept that you made a mistake, and take on full responsibility. Does nothing, you get the blackmarks.

Deny-You claim that you where not in possession of the account at the time of playing. In which, the system matches the most common and most recent IP address, and then the IP address of the day of the offense. This is why people get the lines "We have evidence to prove that you were in control of the account at the time." or something.

Error-A member of Jagex staff has made a mistake on your account. Not sure how far that goes, but meh.

How does that work? He's permanantly muted, and cannot post on the forums. Also, nobody else can post on his behalf, it's against the forum rules :|

yes, it normally is against the rules, but the mod running the thread states that you can have someone post on your behalf. he makes an acception to the rule in this thread.

Ahh, that I did not know :)

It must be a relatively new thing, maybe I should consider appealing for my main to be un-muted

Well anyway, good luck with appealing!
