vettro
I'm lvl 93, 73 attack, 78 strength, and 73 defense. I've heard of Fire Giants being good to melee. Am I strong enough to do it without constant trips for food? Any inventories and what to wear would be great. Oh, and where to kill them. :D Sorry for all the questions. Thanks. llamster
They're not particularly strong NPCs. I think you should be able to kill them. Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:
poopsydoopsy
I had some trouble at level 80, but I was ranging them... :? 26,974th person to get 85 mining on September 20th, 2008Try Ferion, it only takes a few minutes per day; you can play it while mining. Exodus_Flesh
They surprisingly hit somewhat hard.. You should be able to kill them no problem, but staying there for extended periods of time isn't going to happen. You will need a higher defense, and better armor. ~Zackdt
vettro
Ok. What armor do you suggest?
konzserwas
I second zackdt, fire giants have really low defense, making them perfect for ranging and halberding (even with dba spec i notice no decrease in hits), but their attack makes it hard to melee, unless you have very high defense and/or bunnyip/ guthan's set
vettro
Ok. Well I have a dhally. Where would could I hally them? The only place I've tried to melee them is Brimhaven dungeon and didn't see any safespots.

UnknownRemoval
For you, Guthan's would be the best bet, as you will never have to leave (until it degrades). But since Guthan's was bought out by price manipulators (impossible to buy, damn them.), it'll be tough to get for now. Wait until they dump the sets, then buy one. Retired Crew Member | Retired RuneScape Player
Aslan
There are several spots in Brimhaven arena, where they can be safely ranged/hallied. When I am online I can show you the spots if you like.Just pm me.
TheHunted616
I melee them in Brimhaven dungeon and I only have to make 1-2 trips for food per slayer assignment.
vettro
Will I make enough cash in rune stuff, etc to pay for my Guthan's?
Deathmath
No, not specifically, but it does have many uses. Thoroughly retired, may still write now and again
Troacctid
You'll easily be able to pay for your repairs with the drops. Use Guthan's to kill them in the Chaos Tunnels, and bring a little bit of food so you don't need to rely completely on Guthan's to heal you. Use super sets, or at least regular def + combat potions, because they're cheap for the boosts they provide.
