Hey guys I have been thinking resently about the ge, and well as far as we know different groups of prices update at different times.

But does anybody know exactly when things for instance rares are updated, because if my thinking is correct then all you would have to do to buy some thing very hard to get like gilded legs for example would be to wait untill the ge is updated and then put your offer in right after the price was updated and you would get any gilded legs that sold in the next four hours.

Now people may be doing this already I dont know, but if we knew the exact times you could get very rich.

I dont think you understand what I mean, the ge prices are updated every four hours, but all the prices are changed at different times.

No, they're all updated at the same time, once per day. I think he's correct, after a certain amount of items (all items included) have been transferred over the GE, the daily price change occurs.

And I also believe that a certain amount of items have to be transferred for the price of one item to change. For example, I think that about 100 partyhat transfers are required for the price of the partyhat to change.

Lol, Jagex time....

It's in a mystical place called 'England'.

Seriously, they're based in Cambridge, about an hour and a half drive from where I live. Give me £5000 and I'll break in and tell you lot when the new PVP is coming out .

So don't let anyone tell you you're not worth the earth,

These streets are your streets, this turf is your turf,

Don't let anyone tell you that you've got to give in,

Cos you can make a difference, you can change everything,

Just let your dreams be your pilot, your imagination your fuel,

Tear up the book and write your own damn rules,

Use all that heart, hope and soul that you've got,

And the love and the rage that you feel in your gut,

And realise that the other world that you're always looking for,

Lies right here in front of us, just outside this door,

And it's up to you to go out there and paint the canvas,

After all, you were put on the earth to do this,

So shine your light so bright that all can see,

Take pride in being whoever the [bleep] you want to be.

I'm an active investor, and I've noticed there's no specific time every day that the prices change. No one knows. One day it has taken 32 hours for the GE to update and another it has taken 18 hours.

He's right, sometimes it also updates twice a day (10am and 4pm) I've seen.

Which leads me to believe Jagex must have to manually run a program/script or something that changes the prices, maybe some days they forget.

The GE updates are completely random and can happen at any time of day, the delay of an update ranges from around 6 hours to 36 hours(from personal experience). And yes, there are thousands of people already doing that, and have been for more than 6 months. For masks as an example, missing the update by more than 30 seconds(getting the offer in 30 seconds after price update) nullifies your chances of getting the item. Also the prices in-game update around a minute before than in database(to make the task even harder).
