Id just like to bring attention to this scam message i got in my tip.it message box.

 

 

 

from "Petersinter" - the guy is offering high rank positions within tip.it and is asking me to go to some random website.

 

 

 

so i look up this guys username - hes got 30 posts in total and no rank. so its fishy.

Nice tip.it community we have going on here. I know scammers are scammers, but who in the right tries to be rude to someone who's trying to help. This is absolutely shameful. Some of you forget that you're part of a very respectful runescape community.

The guy was trying to help. Even if only 1 person didn'T fall for the scam because of this, it was worth a thread.

Ya, I love reading these things though so I hope he sends me one, I always get a kick out of generally how pitifully written and formatted they are. As mentioned before, it would be quite hard to fall for some of the ones that are game related, however the ones that I see in the real world are also still equally aweful (some of them) in the way they too have been written.

 

 

 

And if you read this peterscammer/sinter or whatever, send me the message too, I wont even bother to report you, I just want a nice dose of laughter.

people are all too willing to give out financial information in real life when they think they can get a shiny prize

Tsk, pitiful that they'd scam us. Thanks for the warning, I saw it right away and quickly imaged it and stuff, so basically...yeah...

In the future, please alert a staff member so that we're aware of the situation and can handle it quickly.
