3rd Age Armour

My friend has about 900mil or something in his bank, he finnaly sold his Xmas cracker today. Now he is wondering wether or not it is worth it to buy 3rd age armour. I dont know much about P2P seeing as im pure f2p, but i thought some of you could help me. He says he already knows someone who wants to sel him 3rd age full, but he doesnt want to spend all the money and then be dissapointed. Also what weapon, boots, ammy, ring, gloves and bracelet should he buy that would match his 3rd age?

Tbh, thats what 3rd age is really for. Looks, so hes just better off getting the best gear for monsterhunting if he loves it.

Well he is looking to stand out, while not looking like a noob. Im sure he does not want to go to GWD and do bad just because he chose cool armour over good armour. What would be THE best armour money could buy?

Bandos top and bottom, a gs,dboots,barrows gloves, dfs/whip,fury, Berserker and I think thats it. And he could raise summoning if he doesn't have access to a bunyip. If thats the case, he should use guthans for healing. This is the monsterhunting gear I've seen some people use. And he could get a 99 like crafting,herblore,smithing,rc,prayer, or construction.

O wow I just got owned. Well, there are better options that are cheaper to stand out. If he wears the prayer cape alot, he could wear something that matches with one of the new shields. Its really up to his decision. He could buy something like a white phat to match the prayer cape and go from there.

3rd age is the rarest of all armors. It has quite a high street price (hundreds of mills) and is used to show off your really got lucky on ge or your rich.

 

 

 

Its stats are easily put off by gwd armors. I'd personally like to get my hands on 3rd age mage robes but for melee\range I'd say only if you need to sell a phat.

tell him to get a placemarker(aka 2 sets) of each of the gdw boos armor and a gds set. 3rd age is NOT worth it as it is not the best arrmor in the game and it would be better for him to get that. seriously here is what i would do with 900m and what he has specified

use that money to get your buyable skills up a few ranks :P 135m to the smithing budget can do wonders

tell him to buy dragon arrows, barrage runes, and super sets and go have loads of fun like i do with my money. player killing in any form is alot more fun when you are using barrage, ags supperpotted and praying and using dragon bolts with pot + pray.

 

 

 

3rd age melee also isnt to bad its better def than bandos but less than torags but it equaly doesnt degrade but you loose the tiny str bonus. It also looks amazing and evbetter with a white party hat and firecape.

3rd age is beautiful, but it depends on how much he wants to stick out. Wearing it with a con cape + whip would make him "stand out" like it sounds like he wants to. Its going to run him about...300m or so based on street prices ive seen lately (i might be off). The helm is going to be the most expensive, not too much less than a purple, so he might even want to consider buying a purple instead to get rid of some junk (just a possibility)

 

 

 

No matter what he does, he's going to have plenty of cash left over, 3rd age isnt going down anytime soon, and it sells well.

 

 

 

If it was me though, i would buy all the buyables in the game, as they are only going up :/

 

 

 

Also, if he wants to stand out he should save a few hundred mil for sailing, that would make him stand out if he was one of the first few with 99 ;)

with current prices i figured that it would take around 200m for ahrims, all mystic battle staves, mages book, and master wand for best possible mage gear as well as for full armadayl etc. as well as full bandos, all barrows sets, all d weaps, dfs, wip, ss, zs, and also a ags. that will leave round 700m for him to go skilling (con cape only takes max100m if he doesn't use any guilded, marble, or magic items) or get a full set of third age and still have plenty left over.

 

 

 

only problem with this is that if he does get third age tell him to turn his public chat off. my friend got lucky and got the kite from clue. he eventually sold it just because he got tired of having mobs following him asking if he could loan sell etc.

If i had this cash i would spend on things that worth it, like 99 prayer & summoning.

 

If he want a good armor:

 

Bandos tassets and chest, Neitz helm, Fury, Barrow gloves, Dragon boots and buy maybe SGS and AGS...

 

 

 

If he wants a cool armor, tell him to get one of the new shields, they look so cool!

if he has 900m+ tell him to go for it. imo they are the best looking armor in the game, and their stats are only behind the godwars armors. although he would probably have to buy some party hats with 3a if all he has is cash. i bought 3a ranged a while ago, best decesion ive made.

I'd personally avoid the helm and kite. The Melee plate and legs are so sweet though. Prayer cape, 3a top and bottom, bandos boots, slayer helm(?), ss, gs, or whatever he wants.

 

 

 

I'd personally go for bandos in his situation because I like it more, but it isn't really unique.

If I had that much money I would spend at least 100m of it on dragon impling jars, and make a thread showing me opening like 150 jars and seeing what rewards I get.

I've had full 3rd Age, in my opinion it sucked. I was highly disappointed at the money I spent to get less out of it than 2M on Barrows sets. It's just another merchants market, because hardly anyone want to wear it for its stats. My recommendation, unless you just want to look rich or something, it's not exactly the best of buys.

Guys his friend has 99 CONSTRUCTION 99 PRAYER and 99 SMITHING, i dont think he can get those any higher, try for 99 summoning and get good gear like the rest are suggesting.
