Slaying Kurasks, best to range?

Im assuming it is best to range kurasks. I was wondering if anyone has any advice on where to stand and what gear to bring

well I tried ranging kurasks: while broad bolts are really nice and hit pretty much.. It's very hard to safespot: the kurasks are aggressive!

The only safespot I found is at the entrance to the room. Stand to the north side so the kurask can't reach you..

First they came to fishing

and I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing

Then they came to the yews

and I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews

Then they came for the ores

and I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores

Then they came for me

and there was no one left to speak out for me.

im meleeing them atm but it seems very inefficient for the time it takes to heal up (i use guthans on jellies) to the time killing

You can Guthan the Kurasks, or at least you used to be able to. You always do 0 damage, but the animation goes through and you gain hitpoints.

Also, buy a Leaf bladed sword if you haven't; it makes the task much more bearable.

well, i love kurasks, so i might be able to give a bit of advice here. when you melee, you need food, you don't have the summon level for bunyips, so you'll be healing a lot more, especially with your 75 defence. one question is for melee, are you using the leaf bladed spear? or the leaf bladed sword? the sword is very similar in stats to a dragon longsword, and thusly quite good against them, way better than the spear.

with range (although i've meleed thousands of these so my experience lies there, i did range like 400-500ish while i was training range to 70) you can stand in the entranceway until they go unaggresive, stand as close as you can to the room itself, 1 spot away from where they will be able to attack you. once they go unaggressive you can move to the rocks that are near the entranceway, you need to pay attention to where the kurasks are standing, or walking too though, as you need to attack kurasks diagonal or behind the rocks, otherwise they will most likely be able to hit you.

oh, and all this is for the slayer cave near rellekka, fairy ring code AJR. i have never been to the well from smoking kills, except to kill the quest boss of course.

i hope this helps! any other questions about kurasks, just ask or pm me about them.

i am using the leaf bladed sword, and you suggest food over guthans?

Because guthans does no longer heal you when you hit 0's on kurasks, definitely do not try to use it here. It is alot faster to bank for a new set of food (especially with fairy rings) then running to jellies 20 times and healing with guthans (try get 68 summoning asap, guthans slows down your exp/hr everywhere ;) )

If you want to range them, I remember there was a nice safe spot at the very north west of the room amongst a pile of rocks, it allows for accumulator to work as well.

In the releka slayer cave you can just stand in the doorway/ entrance to the kurasks and range easily , they are agresive for a certain period of the time , so they even come towards you. If they become un agresive simply run to th south of the turoths room and run back.

kurasks are great, i alway melee them, one of my fave tasks

full dragon, dfs and leaf-bladed sword = easy exp. ::'

OT: there are few safe spots (near entrance and rocks to back of the room), but i've never attempted ranging/maging them, but i heard broad bolts are pretty effective and make task fast, with ranging void, even easier.

You only live twice. Once when you are born and once when you look death in the face.

Do not fear Death. Death is always at our side. When we show fear, it jumps at us faster than light. But, if we do not show fear, it casts its eye upon us gently and then guides us into infinity...

Barrows + rune defender > dragon + dfs :)

I'd just melee them, because I dislike ranging slay tasks. Ranging is very possible though, just range them from the entrance.
