1. They are the monsters that inhabit the wilderness after Jagex took away pking.

2. No clue, it might be jagex's sick twisted way of saying, WE HATE CLUE SCROLLS!, or it may be to replicate the damage that pkers could do.

3. They drop mostly what pkers "should" drop. Such as obsidian capes, dragon daggers and many of the items commonly used by pkers.

Mercyless, tireless killing machines

They can hit up to 30 or 25 I heard. They attack with magic (a teleblock spell which hits hard), range (an ice bolt that can hold you for a few seconds and hits hard) and mellee (hits hard).

As you travel deeper into the wilderness, you can attack a wider range of revenants (varying from a revenant imp to a revenant knight).

There are rumours that they drop a few dragon items and even glory ammies. In F2P, they drop junk or just nothing at all. And since they are insanely strong, it is not worth killing them. I should also mention that they can eat (you can even hear the eating sound) faster than a human pker can.

If only they did. They mostly drop a few coins, making hunting them only good for the thrill of it. I've killed ~10 after the recent quest update. I used the best version of jenica's ring ("improves" drops) and smited all the time i killed it (yes, it does make a difference on their drop according to jagex). That's the best possible thing to kill them with for drops, I killed around 7 orcs and 3 knights - every drop was coins. Prior to the update killed around abouts another 10 - got coins from all except from one which gave me some random cruddy drop anyway.

Though I admit, they can be fun to hunt beacause they don't "safe" :D

they're the closest thing f2p has to a boss, I dunno about anyone else but I can't stand skilling in f2p for more then a few minutes, so they're a fun distraction, especially if you have some friends to hunt them with. Drops suck though.

In the "old" wilderness, a wilderness skiller (eg. Goblin miner) or monster hunter MIGHT get attacked by a PKer. In single combat, the clever player could use a less scary monster to shield from a Pker.

In a previous change, PKers (and now their Revenant replacement) got the ability to steal you from single combat with something else.

With the Revenants, they then changed "bad luck", to a near certainty that you will be harassed by a roving Revenant.

They are also way overpowered in F2P, with power more appropriate to members equipment. Also real PKers were hindered by monsters.

So, they eat, they have unlimited spells and projectiles but drop next to nothing (F2P), they also tend to telebnub out when they are in trouble, so good luck actually getting a kill.

One important point, they can walk through walls / closed doors on patrol, but they cannot do so in pursuit, though if the obstacle is low, they can range/mage over it. Trapping them is an art, as luring is difficult due to their ranged attacks.

1. They are meant to replace PK'rs. However they can attack with all 3 styles and teleblock/freeze which was never possible.

2. They are not actually that strong. I've only died to one once and considering I only venture into the wilderness naked for TT's they can't be that strong. They will rarely be up close so just pray mage or range and run the other way.

3. Best drop is the dragon dagger from the high level ones but most drop junk. Not worth killing.

Best advice is just to run away. They cannot keep up with a running player so unless they freeze you you are OK. Then just log out and change Worlds. Pretty much what you should have done against real PK'rs back in the day.

in that order:

The spirits of slain warriors during the god wars; their regret and hatred for their enemies forces them to roam the wilderness for all eternity, slaying all who cross their path.

Because they are the spirits of slain warriors during the god wars; their regret and hatred for their enemies forces them to roam the wilderness for all eternity, slaying all who cross their path. Without such power they could not do as such.

They drop things that the warriors of Zamorak would have dropped before the counsel decided to intervene with the help of master Guthix because they are the spirits of slain warriors during the god wars; their regret and hatred for their enemies forces them to roam the wilderness for all eternity, slaying all who cross their path.

Answer your question? ::'

They are reaaaaally easy to kill as member:

just wield full black dhide and start hitting them with your whip..

Once you get them down to around 1/8th of the original xp they start eating and you can hit as fast as they eat in those cases :).

+ they can't walk through walls (though they can through closed doors). However they can teleport short distances (they teleport in that case randomly, 4-5 times untill they have a clear line towards you again) if they get stuck AND are more than 1 space away from you.

If you read my tormented wraith guide in the monster guides here you will see a technique you can also use to attack those revenants without getting hit at all! (they simply stop attacking around a corner). Halberding/ranging makes short work of them :).

However simply meleeing works too: I often do my slayer task at greater demons and then encounter a few revenants: knights/dragons I evade.. HOwever orcs and lower I can easily beat without food. (if I need food I simply sidestep + put on guthans and attack a greater demon).

75% of the time they use a mage attack: which hardly hits through black dhide. They won't use their range attack (or well: they use a different, a range attack that only freezes but not actually hits).. Also if you pray: I recommend to use melee pray since that's the actual hitter!

They can indeed hit pretty high (upto 30's) so be prepared to sidestep/eat.

First they came to fishing

and I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing

Then they came to the yews

and I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews

Then they came for the ores

and I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores

Then they came for me

and there was no one left to speak out for me.
