September 30, 200817 yr With the new trade restrictions and all quests, a player can trade 10k every 15 minutes. Before, the only way to ore run was to get someone to run a load of ore to get noted, and trade back the noted ore for an inventory of unnoted ore. Now that more money can be given at a time, at a rate of 667gp a minute, or 26 gold per minute for each avaliable inventory space (-1 for noted recieved, and -1 for money stash), then a 2 minute mining of iron ore can be paid a maximum of 52 gold per ore, or 1352 gp per trip, and if kept up can end in a runner getting a rather nice 40k an hour for his troubles, and the miner getting 780 ores. Now imagining this with iron, 40k an hour for a runner with all quest points and the profit of 780 iron ore for the miner, which is at now about 75k, and 27.3k experience. For the debate, is this fair, who would run for it, and is it a viable way to speed up mining and get beggars to earn their money. Keep in mind that the facts assume two things: that one can keep a constant mining and trades go without a hitch to keep the speed, as well as both participants having the 40 quest points. September 30, 200817 yr I think it certainly is viable. And if not yet, it will be soon. The trade cap is set to change yet again in the near future. Personally, I'd rather mine and bank my ores. Iron ore collectively is worth alot of money, and banking may take 50% longer for any given trip, but the rewards outweigh the costs IMO. As for the runners, I wouldn't waste my time. Reaching a mining level which fast iron is obtainable wouldn't take more than a day, so why work for somebody else, when you can mine it yourself? ;)

September 30, 200817 yr What about runecrafting? Surely that would be somewhat more viable as well? Or do we need a figure greater than 60K for things like law running? (I have never studied the profit rates of running, you can tell.) ~ W ~

Like it's already been said why just do it yourself? Woodcutting does not raise your combat level because most people do not play as yew trees.

September 30, 200817 yr Author remember peoples, the way i described it, there would be no net exchange for ores after the first exchange. 26 unnoted would change to 26 noted, and any money would be pure profit. As such, it could be done with anything: ores, essence, logs, bones, monster 100% drops...the list goes on, as long as the trade balances out. So, it's more of a cost for travel than the cost of goods, at a rate of 2k a trip, a trip every 3 minutes. The way i thought of it, it would be a good way to get noobs to help with training instead of begging. And as much as we like to hear how much we were noobs when we were new players, i'm pretty sure there's about 50 topics for that already. Please stay on topic. September 30, 200817 yr Nobody in their right mind would bank stuff for you for 40k an hour, considering there are plenty of people who are willing to just give away the iron ore because all they want is the xp. And to those saying "why would they do that when they could just get mining up a bit and mine it themselves?", probably because they don't care about mining and just want something to do for some cash, and as far as they are concerned getting traded a full load of iron in a few seconds is better than spending several minutes mining it.
