Might want to take this to the computer section. I don't use firefox though and everything seems fine on my computer.

I'm stumped on why it does not work. Maybe try un-installing and then reinstalling, and see if that does anything?

Off Topic: I requested this to get moved to Tech and Computers, hopefully the nice people there can fix your problem.

I have this same problem.

I'm using FireFox 3, and it crashes anytime I come across a java app.

On RuneScape I can't even get to the login, it crashes when it tries to load the world.

I got Firefox 3, Runescape is working perfectly fine for me, no crashes or anything. Dunno why it happens to you guys :-k

I need slightly more details. Besides the version of Java you're using, I'd also like to know the specs of your machines. Yours too, if you want help here Pyromancer.

Oh, and a screenshot of your about:plugins tab with Java present in it would be wonderful, too.

I have this SAME problem! I fixed it though, do you guys use a different theme then the normal one? I was using aerofox and when I tried to switch worlds the minute that timer hit 0 to let me log in it would crash, but when I changed back to the normal theme it worked again. Good luck!

I've been using custom themes on Firefox 2 and 3 for a while now, and have no problems at all running Rs. I even tried AeroFox and it still worked fine. I doubt it's that.

I know you've probably been told this already, but try the following:

  • [*:23jlb4jk]Updating your graphics drivers

[*:23jlb4jk]Updating to the latest version of Java

[*:23jlb4jk]Updating to the latest 'sub version' of Firefox. 2.0.0.17 or 3.0.3, depending on which main version you happen to be using.

[*:23jlb4jk]If necessary doing a reinstall of all of the above.

    [*:23jlb4jk]Clearing out the JaGex cache.

[*:23jlb4jk]Try disabling all of your addons. It could be one of them is causing a problem, so if you disable them all and re-enable them one by one you can find it.

If not, some system specs would be useful :)

Try reinstalling java and tell us your results. Make sure that you install java for Firefox. There's a possibility that your java plug-in has been corrupted. with power! Sorry, just had to do that.
