Ok so yesterday was a big day for me, I finally achieved one of my longterm rs goals, 99 herblore!!!

 

 

 

Also my old file were all my runescape screenshots has for some reason dissapeared so I dont really have anymore old pics :( The only few old screenshots I have left I just saved from my old blog.

 

 

 

Well back to the herblore story.

 

 

 

 

 

I was first introduced to herblore when I got membership for the first time. I did the druidic ritual quest and I fell in love with the skill immediatly. I spent hours killing chaos druids down in the taverly dungeon, banking the herbs making potions etc. After a while of training herblore a bit on and off I decided that if I really wanted my herblore to go up to the big levels, I had to think bigger. So I started a bit of merching with herbs and pots, I bought ranarrs and snapegrass really cheap and bought the vials myself in shops (after the updates when the shop was fully stocked, good old times) and made prayer potions which I sold for the same price I bought the supplies for and sometimes even a bit more.

 

 

 

Oh my!! That were the good old times, making profit with herblore. Anyway I started getting higher levels and I didnt do this merching often because it took me hours to buy the supplies and sell the potions. A bit later on I also started some unid merching with some tactics and thats how I got in really good deal which made me a few million (Making even more money with herblore!!).

 

 

 

Than jagex updated the unids into grimy herbs and I was like: O.O. I thought I was never going to finish my goal. In the following period I didnt do much herblore until......

 

THE GRAND EXCHANGE!

 

I thought this was it!!!! Buying herbs and selling pots will be so easy now!! So I got on, bought myself around 10k super str supplies. But than ofcourse the prices soared drammatically (from like 5 6keach to 2 3k each) and I lost huge amounts of cash. I decided to keep my potions till prices would go up a bit. So I kept them for like a year :P Anyway my herblore training was on halt for a long while (got a bit of lvls on and off). I did some other skills and got a bit lucky at armadyl a few times (these screenshots also got deleted :( ).

 

 

 

Than after a long period of f2p and like a RS stop for about 3 months I decided to come back and finish off what I started. (I think I was around 85 herblore at the time) The goal for me at that time was getting 99 herblore with 100m leftover (my bankvalue was around 120m at that time I think). I was going to this by herbloring and doing armadyl in between sometimes. I got some advice from ermin66 who has been a great help and friend in the next period. I was determined and I bought myself a month of membership and started buying supplies and selling my pots at right times. Again I did a few wrong investments and lost more money than was planned. I went f2p again with a big bunch of super restores which I didnt want to sell because prices were really low at that moment. So I waited..... but than I heard of the price manipulators and saw prices go up and down. I went back p2p for a month, did some investments in sara brews. And voila! 97 herblore and only 300k away from 98 and pot prices soared. I was stuck with like 10k super restores and 6k sara brews. So I waited, and finally super restores went up a bit, I didnt hesitate, sold 5k for 6.5k each and got enough cash to buy the remaining supplies for 99 herblore in range pots.

Well this is one of my greatest achievements to date, I got a big goal in prospect as soon as I get to sell my pots for a reasonable price. At the moment Im really busy with school, Ive got to do my high school exams this year so I wont be playing that much.

That is mainly because it is Congratulations, and not Congradulations.

It sure is pretty sad how expensive herblore and other skills that turn raw goods into finished goods cost so much these days. Ah well. One of the best 99's imo, grats! 10/10

It's true those skills are expensive though if they wouldn't be expensive they would be really easy to get.
