Slayer Assigments

I have done 57 straight tasks (all from Duradel) and he only assigns me 8 different monsters, (I have blocked 4 so now he assigns only four different ) black demons, greater demons, iron dragons, steel dragons, black dragons, kalphite, fire giants, and hell hounds. I

 

 

 

Has anyone else had this problem and do you know any way to change it. IE: do they know if switching masters for a task or something will make Duradel mix it up.

I've heard that people sometimes get stuck in loops tha can only be broken by getting around 120 or so tasks. if this is true(no personal experience) you could try cancelling tasks a lot more often than you would normally. I don't know if this would work though, and don't go wasting your points if you don't want to.

That sounds just like me. I have around 70 tasks done from him and I've never gotten abby specs, bloodvelds, dusties, waterfiends, mith drags, or anything else. All I can remember for the last month is probably fire giants, black demons, iron dragons, black dragons, and hellhounds. (I have Steels, Kapphies, and Greaters blocked).

I am also having the same problem except I have only done about 35 tasks.

It's been happening to me also... One time I got 3 bloodveld tasks in a row, Just had 2 Dagannoths in a row also.

Ok so I guess I should just see if it changes. Also canceling tasks doesn't work. I've canceled 3 times and each time got the same monster as the new assignment.

yeah i had a similuar prob with dural, so i jus quit him, and i use just mainly sumona now.. and she gives pretty good ones.... but yeah dural seems to hate more ppl then jus me

Even for a high level, duradels tasks can be annoyingly hard, or boring, or just simply un-finishable.

 

If its going in a loop of ones you can-not do, just go to Sumona and use duradel on the every 10th task thing.

No. If you get annoyed at tasks you get you shouldnt slay more, especially if the tasks are in a loop.

 

 

 

I, personally have not had a loop problem yet, but, I think many people who use duradel (i use chaeldar) are having loops. I suggest just simply switching to a different master, (sumona) for just a short time.

eah well my 2 cents is jus use sumona... thats b/c i seem to lvl slayer much faster with her then i did with dural

I don't have an issue with Duradel. Had 3 black demon tasks in a row over the weekend but to me thats great. The XP is good and with my stats I break even or profit. On the 3rd tasks I had 6 rune chains. Even with the 11 prayer pots I used thats profit.

 

 

 

Luckily he hasn't gone on a metal dragon spree with me. I have steels blocked but I sometimes do the irons. If he did keep pestering me with irons then they would be blocked.

 

 

 

Anyways in my opinion, black demons, hellhounds, greaters, fire giants, kalphites and black dragons are not bad tasks, not great ones but they can't all be Abby Demons.

For me it looped only for 35 tasks. I didn't have to do anything special to make it stop; it seems to be random.

i use sumona,and get alot of bleep tasks,like i get banshees and then again banshees.

 

same for cave crawlers...

 

 

 

and somethings i get all kinds of tasks.

 

 

 

but i wont chance to duradel because i can reach sumona so easy now :thumbup:

 

 

 

but it seems to be all random.

Lunar spell is OK to speak to Duradel but you lose the abilty to alch during tasks unless your 96 mage.

 

 

 

I personally use the Shilo Teleport from the Karamaja gloves 3. So I can bank, get new tasks and recharge summoning points betweeen tasks easily. Only thing it doesn't have is an altar but it's rare I need to recharge prayer, if I do it'll be for a task I need to tele near an altar for (via house).

this lasted till 86 slayer then loop ended. This is the longest loop ive heard of, ive heard of many lasting 20-70 tasks though.

 

 

 

Just keep on slaying and it will break eventually. nothing else you can do

It took me just over 50 tasks to get from 90-91 slayer so you can't tell me it was 250+ from 85-86. Black Demons are great XP as are Abyssals so that's 2 out of every 6 tasks giving decent XP.

Oh cool gratz on getting from 50-86 slayer since Smoking Kills has come out. Took me a lot longer.

Yeah It came out when I was around 50 slayer (shortly after I got mems)

 

 

 

Ive slayed for id say over 85% of my mems time so thats mainly why im 90 now. Im almost a slayer pure you could say lol
