When I open up RuneScape, and click on Free Users it opens up a new window? That makes me mad as it is. But now, with this so called new update, When I load RuneScape, and try to open a new Tab in that same window and try to go on a new website it opens up in a seperate window! Bascially I can't open up anything in the same window with RuneScape. It's really making me mad and I'm really considering quitting RuneScape because of it. What happen to you Jagex? You use to be cool but now it's one dissapoint after another. Any help will be appreciated.

You can stop being lazy and close the new window. Or you can figure out whats wrong with your computer, try the settings or File icon on the Internet explorer.

first of all i dought it jagex's fault. dont call them uncool (even though they are) just because you cant work out whats wrong with your settings.

 

and your reply to Pika_Tim_Tam was a bit odd. first your asking him why he posted if he wasnt going to help, and then thanked him for his help.

 

 

 

as for the solution to your problem, hurry up and switch to firefox. i cant believe people still dont get how much better other browsers such as firefox are over IE. if its even remotely possible for you to use firefox then why dont you switch? when you use it a bit you will never want to turn back.

hey now, i quite liked IE before i started using chrome. didn't like FF so i stuck with IE till chrome blah blah blah FF isn't the best thing since sliced bread.

 

 

 

as for the problem, i never had that happen in all my days of IE usage. granted that button is from the update yesterday, but it still shouldn't do that. like everyone else said, check some settings.

 

 

 

and dvd, are hardware specs really necessary with this? i mean, honestly i see no point in it, but i'm not some sort of computer whiz either.

Firefox is a decent browser, with a thriving community for add-ons and the like. It's also a lot more secure than IE.

 

 

 

Chrome is OK, but it's just a basic browser, Firefox has a lot of add-ons.

i know what it has. i also have *no* use for any of them that i know of. no need to block ads or anything, they don't bother me, just seems like useless fluff to me. i just like a simple plain browser. chrome is perfect for me, with just a few problems because of it being a beta, but i still like it more than IE.

Tools - tabs, settings - activate tabs - (tick the "warn me when i try to close multiple tabs", it's good to have), tick "open new tabs besides the current tab" - Open links from other programs - tick "a new tab in the current window".

How about simply using middle mouse to open 'free users' then using the original tab for normal browsing?

um Try Firefox. Runs better anyway, and doesn't keep a massive cache

Control Panel-->Internet Options-->[it should open on the General tab. Look down until you see the row for tabs. Click settings.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

You should get a list of check boxes and some bullet-select options.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Check/uncheck as necessary.
