October 17, 200817 yr Which areas of RuneScape are closed in a PvP world? The following areas have been disabled on PvP worlds: * Barbarian Assault * Bounty Hunter * Castle Wars * Duel Arena * Fist of Guthix * Tears of Guthix * Trouble Brewing * TzHaar Fight Pit * Falador Party Room Source: http://www.runescape.com/kbase/viewarti ... cle_id=815 TOPIC CLOSED I think that means you just can't start duels. I used a ring of fuelling to get to the arena and i ended up inside the gate as normal. I didn't go into the lobby itself though so not sure if the NPC still heals.
October 17, 200817 yr If this works, then NICE FIND but get ready for a nerf. I do, however, doubt that this works
October 18, 200817 yr works fine, you can go in but nobody is there, I used the bank though, didn't see if the healer healed or not though... Just taken now. And as you can see from the top right, it is a regular PK area, you just can't duel. And the healer still works, I tester her. Now all you need to do is find a friend to try the XP. Some games do not mix...
October 18, 200817 yr Jimmy w3000 and I tried this. We both used no armour, no potions, no defence prayers with rune scimi. He recorded 8 mins of the xp and figured that he got 18k per hour. Bear in mind, he was 6 levels lower than me and had melee stats 80/80/80 compared to my 86/92/80. Also bear in mind he was using a power amulet rather than a strength amulet and that neither of us were using potions. I look forward to seeing a slightly more fair example.
October 18, 200817 yr Only thing is, if only one of you trains on the other, it could be a bit worse - since you're just slapping your friend, someone might attack you. Then you have to either heal and run or teleport. And then return. And if the person won't leave, it could get annoying. And if there are people who would annoy you just for the point of it on every pvp world..

Yeah this might be pure-only or atleast low def (<=40 or something?) quit
October 19, 200817 yr I have not tried the duel arena as a way of training, and I think it depends on how populous f2p worlds are there.
October 19, 200817 yr I tried this with a friend, so I can confirm that it does work, however for a main's XP, there are definately better ways for f2p. I didn't record any numbers or anything, so I have no conclusive evidence, but what it compared to was this, killing 2 moss giants or something of the sort, then stopping for a bit, while you and your opponent healed. Even with the healing lady near you, it just seemed inefficient. Plus the alter is a bit of a walk away, for it to be the best XP possible. I think in F2p, flesh crawler's and giant spiders are still better for a main, although more tests would need to be carried out for any real conclusion. For a pure, I can't comment. Some games do not mix...
October 19, 200817 yr Well, you'd have to have someone willing to let you slaughter them all day. Arranging something like that would be quite a hassle, so I doubt this is a practical way to train even in F2P. And you can use boost prayers in F2P at black knights and zamorak monks, though the latter is very crowded because of all the telegrabbers. Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:

Why run, teleport heal etc when theres the healers and an altar right there? just outlast this pker and hed get bored.
