Ts_Stormrage
Wow, that has to be the grimmest description of the MSSW out there... I doubt you'll find more trashtalking on the sites that have LOST the war... Not at all accurate if you ask me... There was ABSOLUTELY no cheating going on by Tip.it, only by individuals, usually a bunch of hate-mongerers who love to see us fighting with our selves and then hate on eachother... And as the old saying goes: no pic no proof... The fact that you claim we cheated as someone who is supposed to write semi-officially for Tip.it sends out the wrongest of messages to newcomers... A few mistakes were made though: DBZ left way too early and failed to mention it as Leader to the Generals (Stormrage for president next time around btw), a bunch of THE clan couldnt control themselves, and I made the mistake of telling people in my guide post that any green cape would do; something I tried to tell everyone in edgeville on the day itself that it wouldnt and that team39 was probably your most valued item in that war... You fail to mention, however, that BY FAR the biggest turn-off for this event is the complete lack of opposition... That trumphs even the largest ammount of bored BS-ers, and the fact that Tip.it is inexperienced in wars shows exactly that... People are used to coordinated events, but where there are 600+ people to manage, there are bound to be a few rotten apples in there trying to spoil the whole load... This is no fault of anyone other then those bad apples... Now the next time you choose to quote ONLY the negative parts of the replies, be sure to remind yourself that Fox news has a job for you... The Observer
Great issue but, meh, we didn't "officially" cheat. It was just individuals who did so who were in clans and not actually supporting Tip.it.
red_Fat1
You try to find a fansite which can control 400+ people. Btw why list only the negatives? dustin
Thank you for doing the interview, you guys at the Chronicle rock (also i don't remember my spelling being so good, so if you fixed up some things THX, if not well maybe my reading is starting to go too :? ) Also i have read the MSSW4 tip.it topic, and i think that the first article doesn't really give a fair impression of how most users felt about the event. If during my interview i would of been asked "Are there any comments about the failure of MSSW4?" i would of said something like this; "I think that many people built up a false image of the war in there heads based on the stories told of the glorious win during MSSW3. Then when they get to the battleground it is just a big unorganized group of people killing stuff. Normally this would prove to be enough, but when you expect a glorious battle and get a bunch of people killing random stuff you can't help but be disappointed. So i believe that the main flaw with the war was that people expected it to top itself, but to call it a failure is ridiculous."
Skull
Other than me not wearing the "right green cape" and getting piled by 20+ tifers while my friends kept saying that I was from tip.it, I didn't think it was mssw4 was that bad. Granted I did leave after we took out pc because I had used all my food fending off tifers. If anything I was unimpressed with tip.it's ability to function as a group, since I was able to tank against a large number who were often higher leveled than me for probably 5 minutes before I left. Off the topic of the mssw, I'm sad to see faith go and I personally have already already seen 2 or 3 pkri's in the new pvp worlds. With limited worlds and populated multi-combat areas to fight, I think we'll be seeing alot more pkri's. Laikrob
Did we even participate in the same MSSW4? :wall: Way to focus on the negatives, as most of the people I spoke to and went with had a great time without getting killed. Or bsed. Actually we took out some runeclad crashers as a team, and surprisingly got a few kills even though we went just for fun and expecting to get killed. I think it's much about expectations and how you choose to view it. Of course it blows for those who got killed by people wearing a green cape, but to automatically accuse those of being tipiters is a bit hasty. That's the same as us accusing those runeclad crashers of representing the site of which their capes matched (which I won't even mention, because I'll choose to believe they were there just to ruin it), and call them cheaters. It's a "friendly" war, there were 500+ people there - about 400 of them were us hehe - and there will be utter chaos. There will always be people taking advantage of it, or getting bored because there's not enough people to fight. Which brings me to the next point... Yes, attacking people on the tipit team when they were wearing our capes were not the nicest move at all. But they had the guts to own up to it in the discussion topic, and explained why. The fact that you feel the need to name and shame them in a publication (both the members and the clan some of them represent, which has absolutely freaking nothing to do with it!) is just low, and shows that sore winners exist aswell. I think that is absolutely sad, and I am very disappointed it was printed. Hopefully someone shows a little judgement next time. Point is, many of us had a great time, and reading this "article" it seems like the writer has been focusing solely on the negatives. I wish for a more balanced article, which describes the fun and excitement those of us who actually did some fighting experienced. : Laikrob You're accusing me of bigotry, how ironic. It's a nice attempt at argument, but your responses are facile and asinine, if not diatribe. Who's arrogant now?
Sanctus_Petrus
I think it would be very wise to withdraw the "The" article. Just say that there were some backstabbing from participating clans.
Laikrob
I strongly agree with the above. You're accusing me of bigotry, how ironic. Lady_Shahdie
Erm yeah this publication is way too skewed :?...there were several posts in the aftermath topic that said they enjoyed the event. I thought the goal of journalism is usually to present a fair and balanced view. Even the captions you put in the fan pictures were intentionally negative spins. Biases are never pleasing to read about events like these. Maybe the MSSW segment should have been a joint effort...since its obvious that people such as yourself who were burned want to call the event a complete failure...heck even I saw the backstabbing going around and managed to steer clear of the renegade groups but I don't view this as a "failed" Mssw because of them. While I am highly disappointed in their behavior (and have made it known in the aftermath topic)...I still believe that the effort put together to rally the Tip.It community was commendable and awe inspiring! I guess those spitting sour grapes are more concerned about their damaged pride rather than the pride the Tip.It community felt in achieving this massive undertaking . ~Retired 13-July-2010~Thanks for the great memories folks :). obfuscator
Nice issue :) I have to take a bit of an issue with the presentation of the MSSW4 as a complete failure. A number of things didn't go perfectly, yes. We were unorganized, yes. There were backstabbers, yes. Did I have a great time fighting for tipit no matter what the circumstance? Yes.
