Matok
Intro Hi First some background I never was a big chef and i'll probably never be,the only time i cook is when i run out of training food and thats was the case few days ago. Beside being an average cooker,i suffer from allergy to static skills, especially the ones which requires going to crowded places. Yes, i hate fishing,in fact mentally it was harder for me to get to my current fishing level (66) then to get to my current slayer level. So, before heading to Piscatoris, for my monthly 4 monks run (can't make more, sorry) i decided to examine the cooking guide, hoping to find something else, and i did... Curry, yes, this nice brown stew which the only time you eat is when your hunting irons/steels, the one that "heal some health" but you never bother to check how much.. I decided to give it a try and this whats this guide is about. Why Should you cook curry - You can make 280-300 per hour > average monks fished per hour (around 230) - Curry heals 19 HP in a single bite! only 1 HP less then sharks - Because we are talking about 280 cooking xp of less burnable(non burnable at level 76+..so it seems) food, almost twice more then monks (150) and 70 more then sharks. - At the time this guide is written curry sells at 815 each on the GE which is 560 gp net profit > 370 for monks - If you like to refresh a bit from your everyday routines - Ideal for fighting the chaos elemental - unequipe-spell proof ;) (thx Philip & nicrune008 , took me a while to get your point lol) - See the title :-) Why shouldn't you - Its a clicking nightmare - if you like chilling on the beach with a net this is not for you. - Curry is less popular -> sells much more slowly (but does sell). - No fishing XP if you care about that. - Need some cash for the ingridients, 254 gp per stew. - If you have sensitive stomach Making Curry Now that we settled it,lets go for the process Requirment - Some Cash - The humble cooking level of 60. Equipment - 14-15 empty Sacks - Light weight clothes (boots of lightness, spotier cape etc..)+ energy pots if you run out of energy (though from my experience ,the salty bath effect should be enough) Recommended - Finished the "As a First Resort..." quest - for access to the salt pool and for the meat store. - Ardougne teleport-ability - Watchtower teleport-ability or house in Yannila. Ingredients & Costs - Shops / GE - Bowl of water 4 - Cooked Meat 4 / 32 - Potato 16 / 72 - Spice 230 / 331 Total: 254 Note: If you have Curry leaves from farming you can use them as a replacment for spice,3 per stew.I didn't use mine (slower) Getting the Ingredients *Note* time estimation are based on 297 (11 trips) pieces of each ingridient. Cooked Meat - Oo'glog - estimated time: 3-4 minutes We'll start our journey in the great Chargurr' fresh meat store at Oo'glog. First take a quick salty bath because you got a lot of running ahead of you,now simply buy and bank all your cooked meat . Once done take out Ardougne teleport cause that our next stop Spice - Ardougne - estimated time: 7-8 minutes head to the spice stall at the Ardougne and buy-bank an equell number of spices, Use the south bank for banking. Dont try stealing since if you'll be caught you wont be able to buy from the stall for 1 day (? need confirmation) Now, after you bought all the spice needed take out 13-15 sacks and watchtower or house teleport if you live in Yannila cause thats where we're heading. Potato - Yannila - estimated time: 10-11 minutes Head to Frenita's cooking shop just north of the hops patch.Buy 10 potatos and fill 1 sack. Repeat till all sacks are filled, head to the bank, empty each sack and deposit the potatos. Return to Frenita to buy more if needed.Once done take out your glory amulet and head to Shantay Pass . Bowls of water - Shantay Pass shop- estimated time: 3-4 minutes Buy and bank all the bowls needed from Shantay (thx kdtaereo for the great tip) Total estimated time: ~23-27 minutes (it took me 24 minutes) Putting it all together - The real nightmare - estimated time: ~32-34 minutes Yes, after running like maniacs time to step off the gas and start the very (very) boring task of making the stews. Before starting make sure all ingridients are ordered in one line at your bank. Now: - While ingridients left - Take out 14 bowls of water (withdraw 15 desopsit 1) - Take 14 pieces of cooked meat and "use" the bowl with the meat (not the other way since we dont want to eat it) - Take 14 pieces of potatos and "use" the unfinished stew with the potatos (again, not the other way!) - Take 14 spices and use them with the uncooked stew. -Repeat Total Making Time (ingredients+mix):~55 -61 minutes That is it, you got yourself plenty of one of runescape's finnest dish. Just go and cook it whereever you like. Bon Appetite Final words- i highly doubt this guide will spark a curry-mania all over rs but as i said if you bored enough and want to try something new, go for it. Any feedback and/or suggestions are welcomed Thanks for reading
kdtaereo
You could add some pics, and buy the bowl of water at the shantay pass, there's a bank just there. @santana_raphaelI'm retired from Runescape due to my really bad connection, maybe coming back soon

I've done this before, but I made everything myself (farmed the curry and all that :( ), I got 70 cooking pretty quickly once I had everything though. kdtaereo
The great about curry is that you don't need to buy anything from the Grand Exchange, and you can use the curry in many ways. @santana_raphaelI'm retired from Runescape due to my really bad connection, maybe coming back soon
a_bert
Did you mean curries are nonburnable? 'cause they aren't, if you did mean that. Out of 266 curries, at level 68 cooking, I burnt 65. Was at rogues den. (fun though!) 'Tis I, 'tis Vindice, 'tis I!

Matok
Again thx for the good feedbacks  I did one more test (297 curries) to make sure i got all time estimations correctly and added the new results. Did you mean curries are nonburnable? 'cause they aren't, if you did mean that. Out of 266 curries, at level 68 cooking, I burnt 65. Was at rogues den. (fun though!) Yes,actually thats what i meant. It was based on the fact that in level 76 i didn't burn any of the 320 i made (also at rogues den). Anyway i changed it from unburnable to less burnable ;)
