Well you need a nosepeg or slayer helmet so guthans is out of the question: bones to peaches I personally dislike a lot: so that leaves you with the "food" method: which (if going ct) isn't too bad..

I always used b2p whenever I can't use guthans.

So use whip and mask to fight dust devils then equip guthan's helm and spear to heal off the rats?

 

 

 

What should I have in shield slot?

Whip+Rune Defender+Slayer Helmet in the smoky well even if they aren't your task.

I've never camped dusties, but I'd recommend rune defender in the shield slot. The accuracy boosts are just generally useful. If you want defence bonuses, then just the best shield you can afford without going broke i guess.

I don't have a rune defender. Should I use a crystal shield for full defence or obby shield for defence and some strength?

Look at the chart if you really want to buy it. I would say don't buy it.

 

 

 

Look at any slayer guide for equip+invent. Just swap the Slayer Mask for the Facemask if you don't have it.

Btw if you do intend to Guthan, you'll HAVE to use chaos tunnels or else the devils/smoke will just own you...at the tunnels you can go to the crypt rats/zammy mages to heal up. But that's a drag.

Warrior. and Obby Shield.

 

 

 

If you find you get hit to much with the obby shield then switch to the Crystal. I highly suggest you get a Rune Defender though.

well you would have to use guthans in another room in CT because of the fact you cant take off the mask even there with the dusties. Desert with guthans is completely out of the question because if you take off your mask even just long enough to heal with guthans you will probably die. so in other words any method but guthans for the desert and guthans if you want to in the next room in the CT tunnels ONLY

For your inventory I would have:

 

Nature Runes and Fire Runes/Staff

 

Teletab for emergences

 

A Coin - Space saver

 

Bones to Peaches tabs or guthans spear and helm

 

DDS, D Claws or SGS as a special weapon.

 

A few space saver food items (3 should be enough), like trout.

 

Then the rest good food, like monkfish.

 

I would reccommend you take super sets to speed it up, but if your planning on staying there for days its not an option.

If b2p, get spell or tablets? The spell is always good to unlock, however tablets will save you space. Up to you. they drop uganthanki kebabs pretty regular too.

 

Buy guthan's at 4.5m or hope for lower price? 4.5mil is good for Guthans, however it isn't advisable to use at Dusties due to the need for mask/helm. You can heal from the other monsters in the chaos tunnels, but tbh it's not worth the risk if you do muck up, plus the portal could send you anywhere...

 

Equipment and inventory? Standard melee gear but with facemask/slayer helm. In your inventory bring some alch runes, some bones to peaches runes/tabs and maybe some super sets. You can stay forever without pots but it's nice to have the boost, plus theres no harm in banking every now and then for your herbs.

 

Doable with my stats? As long as you have the slayer requirement you can do them. I can't view stats from behind this firewall but if you've hit 60 slayer, your combat stats cannot be that bad.

Rune Defender. Spend the time to get it, you won't be sorry.

No defender? You should seriously consider getting one as it's probably the overall best shield slot item in the game. But otherwise, I'd say use obby shield over crystal shield.
