Faux
I started watching the Sopranos and the only thing I can describe it as is "beautiful" The whole thing feels slower than LOST, but I feel like a fat kid in a Hershey's factory when I watch this series. :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::
justin_m23
I only recognize that show because of Scrubs. But I find it unbelievable that there is any show slower than LOST.

Nom
Speaking of LOST, that show is beautiful. In every way. The art direction and photography are stunning, and the characters are great and the biggest reason that I love the show so much. Amazing actors playing some amazing characters. But it does move slow
BlueLancer
Got to agree, even though it's extremely violent, the way Sopranos is made, is just beautiful. It deserves the high ratings it got. Another one is Dexter. Give it a shot after watching all Sopranos seasons, think you'll like the dark style, imagery and music of the series. pryomancer
Green Wing is very nicely shot, it has these sequences which are sped up before the dialogue starts, to speed up the programme and set the scene. I like things that are dark and macabre, it looks nicer I think.
Intriguing
Another one is Dexter. Give it a shot after watching all Sopranos seasons, think you'll like the dark style, imagery and music of the series. I've only seen the first season so far, but that is an awesome show. Cool. I was actually just wondering why no one mentions Dexter around here. I absolutely love it, it just feels so new and original, and also very much to my liking. One of the best things about it is definitely the music. I think that what it does best is meld drama, comedy and horror, better than any other tv series i've seen. That's one of the few shows that has consistency. I wanted to make a Dexter thread, but I was afraid it was gonna go the way of Always Sunny. assassin_696
I wouldn't call either of the whole shows beautiful, but The West Wing and Heroes have both definitely had their moments. Faux
Really? I have a love/hate thing going on with Heroes. It has so much potential, but it's not consistent at all. Look at Lost, the theories about that show was created by the writers themselves. The theories in Heroes were created because of very sloppy writing. :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::

MoodJuice
Deadwood, while not 'beautiful' in the sense of being pretty, or even polished, is beautiful to me because it isn't. It's a gritty ride on the edge of your seat, and, (at least for me) likely, one of the best westerns that anyone could have the pleasure of experiencing. Even if you don't like westerns. The dialogue is impeccable, the storylines great, and the plotting, scheming, and general skulduggery are first-rate. Al Swearengen: Pain or damage dont end the world, or despair or f***ing beatings. The world ends when youre dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man and give some back.
