Farming While Skilling

Does anyone have a good method for this?

For example, I'm leveling hunter right now so it should be easy enough for me to farm while doing this. When I get 32 farming I am going to ranarrs.

Is there a pattern or anything someone uses to remember patches?

Im pretty sure you dont need the farming level to farm herbs, (and maybe some other things), but need the level to get xp - which I think you may need also.

But yeah you can hunt chins kinda quickly, im sure that taking about 15 mins off to check ranarrs would be ok. And if you have to drop over to the ge you could buy some hunter pots / hunter fams to help along, if you think they could help. (they possibly could do alot, not sure, dont think many people have tried).

And if you name your clan chat like Ar Ca etc, you might remember which herb spots to go to. Ignore would also help too. Dont forget alphabetical order can keep your mind in position if you keep track of where the places are.

Always use the spell Fertile Soil if you can, if not super compost will do it.

I dont need a siggy no moar.

That would be cool. I have a friend who just did slayer and farming and GWD and he has like 200m in cash plus full bandos etc etc.

I however would like to do hunter instead of slayer, but I want some of the awesome profit of farming

When you get on do trees, fruit trees, and herbs

After 75 minutes do herbs. Or you can wait 2 hours and keep hunting if farming is distracting you.

So pretty much just do herbs every 75 minutes or 2 hours if you wanna keep doing whatever you're doing

Come to #tip-it on Swift IRC, if you're cool

Every hour and a half I go to my patches. Checking all four allotments (I'm not going to count bushes or trees) takes about 45 minutes. Then, you can skill for another 45 minutes without going back to your patches.

I'm aware in this time you can grow 6 flowers and 2 allotments, but I'm not going to go back that frequently.

Also, don't plant ranarrs. Plant toadflax. When you get the level anyway.

I think I must misunderstand this, but I have to ask anyway. It takes you 45 minutes to check 4 allotments?

Usually 20-45 minutes; I always use secreters and it takes a while to harvest an entire patch, so I buy baskets fill them and trash em. Also, this was when I was 71 farm.

After you plant your herbs go here

http://www.vickiblackwell.com/timer.html

Start your timer and set it so in an hour and a half it rings. It helps emensly.

Also when you are the right level make sure you grow poison ivy bushes you cant beat the exp/cost of those, and the berries sell instantly for max on the GE and rising in price every day.

When hunting chinchompas, wear explorer ring, nature amulet, take glory and possibly ectophial and herb/flower/allotment seeds. I only take herb and flower seeds, so I won't get an inventory full of produce.

When your nature amulet tells you it's time, cabbage-port and farm the allotment a little north. Replant, ecto-tele and do the same there. You should have a few laces left in your inventory. Teleport to Edgville to bank, take Camelot teleport and farm there as well. From Catherby, you can take a charter ship to Oog'log, where you can dip in the pools of your liking and continue hunter (after banking).

Enjoy!
